OK, so withmy Upgrade to Vista I've been experimenting with lotso f stuff.. It realy is a Neat OS. One thing I REALLY Like is the ReadyBoost. Using a high Speed CF card for the system Page file has sped up my gaming a LOT. I suggest everyone to look into this. You can use a siml USB Thumb Drive if ya dont have a high Speed Card reader inyour system even.

anyway, I picked up a 4 Gig CF Card and I'm currently using 2 Gigs for my Readyboost. That leaves 2 Gigs of space left on it for ????

DDO!!!!!!!!

Maybe?

Can I install DDo to this Flash Memory? Seems to me this would speed the texture access a LOT since thats what seems to grind my Hard Drive the most.

Can I just copy my DDO folder and repoint the launcher to the CF Drive? WOudl I have to Reinstal froms cratch and select the CF Drive?

Thanks

last time I check DDO is 6+ gigs. Also, you would not want to put it on a flash drive, they are not made for a continuous read, write use. they will fail over time and you will have more errors.

Also, just a reminder about Readyboost, If you have more then 2 gigs of memory you will probally not see much difference using readyboost. But, if you have less then 1 gig, then you will see a improvement, using readyboost. But, if that was the case then it would be better to jsut upgrade memory.

Readyboost is neat but with little value, with memory so cheap.
