but thats the way it is:

lag is still here. big spikes. more infrequent maybe but still often enough. I know its not client-side (others in party were experiencing the same spasms, I have a good rig etc etc). so I offer up a question to which I already mostly have my answer:

is it unrealisitic to expect a lag free DDO at this point?

I have been playing since head start. I even pay the full sub fee (15/month) not because Im lazy or paranoid but because I want Turbine to have as much funding as possible to make this game as good as possible (and because Im lazy and paranoid).

I love this game. but more and more it seems as though the answer to the above question is yes.

because of that I may have to leave. the fanbois wont shed a tear, I know. but leaving will sadden me.

please fix the lag.

Last night I was experiencing more lag then the night before and it made running through the desert for gems difficult. There is some kind of sound thing going on also really loud sounds suddenly for no apparent reason even with SE turned down to near 0.

yep, it is a flop,, hey lets go run around orchard, hey lets go run around gianthold, hey lets go run around desert for the 19,999,9999 time and look for some gems, so we can LAG everywhere ....

I finally just turned of my computer

On the upside I did get the three gems I need on one character who is a cleric so I can be helpful in another raid once I get the three new area gems. I would not call it a flop I am having a good time and even received a bunch of explorer and rare xp.

Jr, sounds like you need a break. And I mean that in the sense that it could be the best chance to save you from bailing completely. Might want to take a break, do whatever you do outside DDO (which could even include another...gasp...MMO) and see if you miss it in a few weeks or a month, or two. If not, then you'll know you made the right choice and didn't waste more time and frustrations. If you do miss it, you can always pop on back.

Seriously, this isn't meant as a "can I have your stuff" retort, actually quite the contrary. As you are one of the more active players on my server, I'd rather see you take a pause and come back (most likely, I have faith) than get burned out and bail for good.
