I see that Turbine has signed a lease for more space in Dedham, MA, which is about 10 minutes from its current location.

Can you let us know how this will effect DDO?

Will Turbine have two locations or just one int he Greater Boston Area?

I also understand the new location is a "Green" building. What kind of neat and interesting things make a "green" IT building?

EDIT: How did this end up the second post, something smells fish. Where are the kobolds?

seesm vbullten uses some kind of session timer for the posts....instead of adding a numberical order also.

So even though your post is a higher number post, vbulleting ignores it and goes with some screwed up timer thing.....

Its not so much that they are moving into a "Green Building" (Environmentally friendly), but that the building itself is colored Green! I knew something was up when I saw the forums default color set to Green....

Any moves that are made will not affect DDO in the slightest. :)

BOSTON – Turbine, Inc., a premier creator and operator of massive, persistent online worlds that foster powerful social gaming communities, has executed a 22,497-square-foot lease for a new office location at Dedham Executive Center in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The Colliers Meredith & Grew team of Jim Elcock, Dave Goodhue and Bill Lynch represented the landlord, KS Partners, LLC, in the transaction. Turbine, Inc. was represented by Mark Mulvey and Tom Kent of DTZ FHO Partners. Specifics of the lease transaction were not disclosed.

Dedham Executive Center is an 180,000-square-foot, three-story, Class A office building located at 980-990 Washington Street in Dedham, Massachusetts, at the intersection of Routes 128 and 1. Three MBTA commuter rail stations and the University Avenue Amtrak Station are within a five-minute drive of the property. Amenities include an under-building parking garage, conferencing facility, food service and on-site management. There are also numerous area amenities including hotels, restaurants, banks, shopping centers and daycare facilities within a three-mile radius.

“Dedham Executive Center is a great solution for Turbine’s growing real estate needs due to its proximity to their headquarters in Westwood and the abundant building and area amenities,” said Elcock.

Seems to be taking your PC's time and using that as the time/date stamp, which erroneously orders the post according to that stamp rather than an internal time/date stamp.

They are leasing space, not buying a building. Turbine major cash cow is LOTRO. They also received 80 million in financing this year and are openieng up a west coast studio. They are working on am as yet unnamed project for Warner Bros that will liely be a console and PC MMO, and looking at porting some of their current MMO's to console. DDO is currently not part of this plan, based on Kate's comments in the lateset interview
