for the wondorful time I am having looking at a load screen to nowhere. And all of the other things that are going wrong at the moment.

I hope to whatever dieties the leadership at Turbine pray ( or sacrifice) to that the wonderful time that many paying customers are having as I type this will put an end to the "Lets test it on Mournlands, stick it on Risa for a week and then hose our paying customers" method of testing.

I say again picking people who you like to evaluate your product is JUST PLAIN STUPID.

Do you do this for the LOTR servers? Or are we just special. I really want to know. DID no one think about older toons going to the Island prior to today? What does THAT say about using a small closed inbred group of testers?

A very ****ed off customer who thought that finally there would be a mod since you closed Risa for beta testing and went with the "Only Mournlands" mentality that had no major screwups or any obvious gotchas. Guess I was wrong.

Wondor who else at Turbine was.

I'm pretty sure they don't ask about close family breeding when they screen for mournlands but the inbred comment is way out of line bro..

maybe you need a hug

Didn't see these load screen problems or buy/sell problems on Risia... even when it was lag borked... which was just the usual 2s response lag.

Honestly, there's no way for the Mournland testers to determine how the mod will react when placed on the live servers. Their job is to evaluate content, not perform load tests.

The closed process is a joke and we all (devs/players) suffer the results.

I have yet to play an MMO that had a single flawless patch day that I can remember. Sure, some are much smoother than others, but as a habit I never expect to get any serious gametime in on patch days. That's just the nature of the beast.

But I understand your frustration.

I have absolutely no inside knowledge and I have been known to be completely wrong on occasion but I'll tell you what I think is going on: there are bugs that have been around for 6 months or longer that have yet to be fixed. The short term goal for Turbine (and all MMOs I would say) is not a flawless product; that is may be a long objective. But I think mainly they were focused on getting some new content pushed out ASAP. And here it is. It's not perfect yet, but again, it never is.

The best thing we can do is accurately report any and all bugs we encounter and leave the rest up to the devs.

I don't mind frustration, complaints, constructive criticism, negative posts etc... but they have to fall within the rules. No name calling, insults, etc. Keep it in the guidelines people.
