While i understand why, i absolutely disagree with this. There had to be a better way.

It would be nice if there were NEW tags like there was before.

Can they /reply? If not, that is a huge mistake.

If they can, it's only a bad idea. They should be able to /tell.

Can you think of any that would work across the board ?

Quantity limits only provide a speedbump, not a real obstacle, unless they are set so low like 5/hour or day, whatever, that it might also really bork normal users anyway.

Actually, a much more effective limit would be a very small limit in a short time frame. For instance, limiting it to 2 tells every 30 seconds would not hamper most normal users, but would choke off most of the plat tells.

Honestly, we've had this dicussion many times. Many ideas were put forth, but i'm not sure any of them solved every problem, however doing something for the sake of doing something is not the answer either. I would rather continue to get spam and not slit the throat of the NPE.

Actually, the disabling tells from those you choose not to receive them from, even if done individually would be significantly better and a detriment to no one.

I don't like these though...

Known issues
NEW - Be very careful when selecting end rewards if you are approaching your maximum encumbrance (the amount of weight your character can carry). Selecting an end reward while near maximum encumbrance will result in the end reward item not appearing in your inventory, and no longer being available in the end reward selection list . Be sure to reduce your encumbrance prior to selecting an end reward.

NEW - Improved Trip's DC is not being increased by anything other than Strength bonuses. Tactics and Strategy Enhancements are not being taken into account.

NEW - Be careful! When detaching an exclusive item from an email (for example, a medium collectibles bag) if you already have the same exclusive item in your inventory, the detached item will disappear.

NEW - The fiery plane of Fernia is in strong alignment, and Lava is much hotter than it should be in some places.

NEW - Computers operating with the following Video Cards may have performance or other difficulties:

How do I check what video card I have?
Edit: nm, found it. Mine will be fine. Still sux for others though.

The Tempest Ranger enhancement has been modified and its description clarified: Benefit: Your training has turned you into a whirling tempest of steel, granting a 10% bonus to dual wield attack speed.

anyone else notice the change to Tempest?

Known issues are more serious

NEW - The Anniversary cake has gone a bit stale, and the Djinni of the Cake no longer recognizes his master. We are taking the Djinii to the eye-doctor, and hope to restore his sight so he can continue granting wishes.

I guess the level cap stays at 16 :o

Only a few additional spells (nothing of real value) and no mention of increase in level cap. You think maybe mod 9?? We will see lol. I hope this mod is worth the wait :(

Oh well, will have to keep playing hehe :D

Everyone noticed that change when it was first announced, but then a dev came and said Tempest still had the AC bonus, so...

Either this note is wrong, or he was wrong, or he was being intentionally misleading.

They had already said many times that there would be no level cap increase (though before that, they had said there would be  )

It's not unusual for descriptions to be incomplete. Look at Evasion.

Players now begin the game in a new tutorial experience on the beach of Korthos Isle. For new players, and old players rolling new characters, the redesigned New Player Experience offers a wealth of adventure, story, and challenge on a level and scale comparable with the cutting edge of current and upcoming MMOs!
That really shows why they did the NPE- they were worried about competition from the fancy scripted quests used in Age of Conan, and wanted to show they could do the same. (It just took them a 4-month time lag behind Conan's release, which was enough for that game to become marketplace irrelevant)

The Black Abbot Raid
* Remember, that just like wearing loose articles on a roller coaster can be dangerous, it may also be unsafe to do so during a recall out of raids. When attempting to guide your team mate across the chasm in the 2nd puzzle room of the Abbot raid, please be sure to remove your goggles before recalling after failure or success, as recalling with the goggles equipped could cause your party to become stuck during the loading screen. Should you become effected by this, please log in with a different character, and contact in-game support using the "?" button for assistance.

There weren't any. I would complain, but I'm tired of complaining about the abbot. They obviously don't care.

At this point, the Abbot must be a god and thus immune to any action turbine could take against him.

and to quote it, you right-click it and select "Copy Link Location" (or "Copy Shortcut" for IE users)

then you paste that into your URL in the reply elsewhere..

I just open it in another tab, then Ctrl+X the address from the address bar. Faster for me.
