remember that some points expire...so you can get more than 20 if you time them right :D

And the mods reserve the right to give you 20 all at once if you do something really naughty.

You can view any warnings/points received by viewing your forum profile. It will list what the warning/points were for, how many points they were worth, when they expire (if they expire), and what thread it was in relation to (if the thread is still available). It will also show you your total points to date.

You don't ;) That's a matter between the staff and the hypothetical person. Generally speaking, people tend to inflate/deflate their numbers anyway. It's not like a kill count :D

^^^^^^^^see we need a points based system that allows poster to give and take away points to other posters based on the quality/hilarity vs crappiness/tardness of their posts. little +/- numbers are displayed in a posters sig line or by avatar. call it board favor or whatever. that way we can all give the negatrons a -1 everytime they cry doooom.

this mechanic is around on other boards so i dont think its that hard to do.

Have you ever considered putting it under the person's forum title... kind of like a kill count. And maybe we could add a stat for 1) how many threads locked because of the poster and 2) how many threads started by the poster that were locked.

You know I worked really hard one week to wrack up as many points as possible and I was so sad when the promissed pony skin didn't appear and all I got was that temporary suspension message :mad:

I think it was Angelus_Dead who posted somewhere how nonsensical it is to disable forum log on rather than just disabling the ability to post. By disabling log on, Turbine seems to be treating bans as some sort of punishment rather than as a tool for keeping the forums "clean" (which is what the goal should be).

I'm going to take a guess that if I can't find the "infractions" tab, then I don't have any?

Or am I just blind and looking in the wrong area. Would it be on the left side somewhere with the Your Proflie/Networking/Settings&Options/Private Messages/Subscribed Threads/Misc headers?
