That said, the whole issue will always be a failure in my mind. They introduced the problem, and knew **** well what the problem was, but still dragged their feet on fixing the issue.

I guess my view is a little tainted. If in fact the lag issue has been resolve I would like to thank Turbine for restoring the game to a playable state in a somewhat reasonable timeframe. (I am hard at work right now, so unable to confirm things for myself. :) Do we know what caused these issues? Are you going to share them? Certainly more than a 'server reboot' was to blame. I don't want to sound negative here, but I can't say for certain things are 'back to normal' until later this evening.

I'm a computer major so I totally understand lags can happen and things may go out of control. I'm really glad to see this time Turbine actually made it on time. Thank you, all the devs and whoever else contributed.

Was there a lot of lag in off hours play before? I only noticed huge lag at peak times myself.

I had some upside down moments where my always lag pc never did and my never lagged always did but today is a new free day.

And to the naysayers, I hope I'm there when you get rich JUST to see you beaoch that your tax bracket has gone up!

I'm fairly excited for mod8 when the change the Devils teleporting mechanic to a cooldown; going to reserve final judgement until then.
