Friend recently purchased the game from the online store but has been unable to active it. We can get as far as the registration screen where you type in your user name and password so i assume his key is correct but run into trouble there. We are either unable to progress past that screen despite having all fields filled out correctly or else we are able to get to the next portion where you put in your card information but recieve an error message that turbine failed to update/activate the account.
Our emails to customer service have not been responded to.
Excellent times are ticking away. Please help.

I tried to reproduce them but can't even load the account management screen anymore.

Heh, since last weekend I have been trying to change billing options on my account (in plain terms - I was trying to buy another month of play) and the only result is the above mentioned error together with another one which tries to frame my credit card from this problem. But:
1) as far as I know my credit card works.
2) I have problems even with mere loading myaccount.turbine.com page. (month ago this page work normally and smoothly).
Yesterday I send a query through the turbinesupport and at the moment I still know nothing. It looks like I'll miss first days of the new module. Grrrr and thrice ****!

I feel your pain sir. I've attempted to use live support since my initial post but haven't been able to get anyone there either. Also resubmitted an email with my problem and still no response. Does anyone know of any way to flag down a living breathing person for this? Obviously i'm a huge and longtime fan of the game my buddy has had his eye on it for a while. Really want to share the enjoyment i've had but so far am out $15 bucks and feel like i'm getting a boot in the nuts.
