I hired a wf sorc. He wouldnt even try to sneak. What a noob!

On a more serious note, I have already found two bugs:
1) game crashed when I clicked on detect optimal settings for graphics.
2) when you log back in after a crash when you had an active hireling, the hotbar for controlling that hireling vanishes. No way to get it back.
and a 3rd now
3) hireling's firewall damages charmed monsters, even if charmed before he cast the firewall. *edit* not just firewall, his ice storm just took out a bunch of charmed orcs.
4) keeps taking credit for my kills. Every time I kill something, he catches up to me 2 seconds later and says "easily done."
5) WF casters dont seem to have reconstruct loaded. They prefer to drink potions.

Lightning, firewall, and for some odd reason stinking cloud. He was so viscious he even started killing my charmed pets. Everything one could hope for from a discount wf sorc!

Update is 300! program files and 1800 data files (hirez client).

I was expecting a few new program files for the DX10 addition... but there's a whole new directory of files in a new directory: browser including .html, images, .css. What's the new browser tech? Is this DDO facebook trial setup???

PS: At 50% download, the splashscreen is still a Mod 7: Way of the Monk splash... but maybe it doesn't get updated till the end of the update.
I'm hoping the new splash is exactly the current boring, reused "Community" splash screen... but with red ghostbuster crossed out circles on each of the characters and a "WELCOME HIRELINGS" tramping over the "Happy Forum Community" banner.

I hope this doesn't end up like LOTRO, I am using the 4800 series card and I tried to turn on dx10. Constant crashing, actually stopped playing the game because of it. I'ma wait for it to go live before I try dx10 though, looking forward to seeing some screenies soon though.

In LOTRO and DDO, you must disable stencil shadows. I was getting a driver error constantly until I read this helpful tip. Running 4870 card now in LOTRO for nearly a week without a crash.
