Greensteel item tradable?

A while back I saw a greensteel item on the auction house. I thought that the items were bound to characters.

Is there a way to craft an item and then still be able to sell or trade it?

The description said "binds when equipped". Does that mean the item can be sold or traded as long as it isn't ever equipped to a character first?

Sorry, no screen shot for proof. Maybe a past bug that has been fixed. Just wondering since I have a blank on a character that I probably won't ever use it on.

Greensteel blanks are bind on equip. Adding any properties inside the Shroud at any Tier or using a Cleansing Stone on a blank add bind on acquire.

This means that if I build the blank for goggles (as an example) that I can then send the goggles to a second character provided that a) I don't ever equip them and b) I haven't added any tier enhancements. Is that right?

Can I then take the goggles and add tier 1-3 enhancements using the second character (assuming he has access to the Shroud)?

Yes, whoever it binds too is what matters, not who made them.

Note you will have to go get the five cheese wedges (Stone of Victory etc) from the Vale quests and fuse them each time you wish to make an item.

I understand that part -- and that once fused they still are not anything yet. They don't become something until the fused parts are combined with the right ingrediants to become the greensteel blank.

As I remember it the fused parts are bound still to the character that collected the parts. It seemed to me that there was a change between that and the greensteel blank.

One of my toons put his blank bracers on the AH just because it said "Binds on equip" instead of "Binds on aquire".

Unless DDO changes it, your toon that runs the Shroud quest the best can do all the stone gathering and make the blanks for you other toons or someone else's toons. The toon that receive's the blank green steel item only need to complete all five Shroud quest once to gain access to the crafting areas, but must participate or pike with a party to reach the various alters to imbue powers on the blank green steel items.

Weapons may be different, haven't made a weapon yet.
