I have a question regarding a character I am looking to build a GS weapon for. First off, the character is a Warforged battlemage build 15Wiz/1Ftr.
He plays mainly as a wizard who fights using vorps/disruptors/banishers against trash mobs, thereby saving mana for end fights and tough fights. I use alot of DP clickies and he actually fights quite well.
He also is quite useful in the raids like the shroud and VoD. He can play the full roll of a caster but also add some to the DPS to the boss fights. With rage his str is only 24 so he is no barbarian or twf ranger but he does bring more to the table than most casters in those sorts of fights.
With that background does a GS Falchion make more sense than the more typical GS Great axe for fighting against tough bosses like Sulo and Arietrekos (sp?). I was thinking of going +/+/ acid and min II.
I was just thinking that with such relatively low str would I be better off with the 15-20 crit range at 2d6 damage than the 19-20/x3 at 3d6 damage of the great axe.
What does everybody think? Is the greataxe still better?
Thanks
