Product Key Exchange?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a legitimate way of exchanging US/Euro Product Keys? I live in the US in Delaware and very recently bought a copy of DDO from a BestBuy store only to find out that it was a Euro copy so I cannot use the Product Key to update my account for Turbine. I've already tried talking to the people at BestBuy who refuse to do anything because I opened the box already. Even after talking to Turbine's Live Support and them suggesting to have the Manager at BestBuy call them so they can reassure him that it is indeed a Euro copy they refuse to call stating that once a software title has been opened unless the CD is obviously damaged they cannot refund or exchange under any circumstances.

I tried emailing the guys at CodeMasters who are apparently in charge of the Euro side of DDO or whatever but I have yet to hear anything from them so I thought I might try and see if someone on here might have any advice. As far as I know the Product Key I have is for registering for a Euro account, it's unused and still should be good for upgrading. I'd just like to somehow swap it for a US Product Key so I can upgrade my account rather than have to pay another $15 for another copy.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know, but if you look closely you can probably find a scratch on the CD that was there when you bought it.
