Some questions if they ever decide to include druids. I have played druids since they were first introduced (Blackmore they were monsters and Greyhawk they were characters) but they have changed a lot since D&D, ADD and v.2
I have some questions.
What will the DDO prefered weapons and weapon restrictions be?
No metal armor but studded leather and woodend shield ok?
What is a Breastplate? I know they could be made of metal or hardened leather but what are the DDO ones made out of?
Will they get Diety specialties like palidins and clerics?
Will they get charm spells like rangers?
What will their main stats be? Wis & Charisma?
I think all of the basic spells they would get should be in place (except maybe one or two modifications).
Summon pet with only animals/insects?
Since the Devs can't seem to release them this is theoretical but what are your ideas?

Based mostly on the 3.5 druid in the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/druid.htm).
What will the DDO prefered weapons and weapon restrictions be?
Druids are proficient with the following weapons: club, dagger, dart, quarterstaff, scimitar, sickle, shortspear, sling, and spear. They are also proficient with all natural attacks (claw, bite, and so forth) of any form they assume with wild shape.
No metal armor but studded leather and woodend shield ok?
Druids are proficient with light and medium armor but are prohibited from wearing metal armor; thus, they may wear only padded, leather, or hide armor. (A druid may also wear wooden armor that has been altered by the ironwood spell so that it functions as though it were steel. See the ironwood spell description) Druids are proficient with shields (except tower shields) but must use only wooden ones.
A druid who wears prohibited armor or carries a prohibited shield is unable to cast druid spells or use any of her supernatural or spell-like class abilities while doing so and for 24 hours thereafter.
What is a Breastplate? I know they could be made of metal or hardened leather but what are the DDO ones made out of?
Breastplates in DDO can be metal or non-metal (such as darkleaf). Druids should be safe to wear the non-metal breastplates.
What will their main stats be? Wis & Charisma?
Wisdom is the druid's prime casting stat.

There is Darkleaf Banded Mail (counts as medium armor) and Darkleaf Breastplates out there in DDO... I'm actually sitting on a few suits of Darkleaf Banded Mail for when/if Druids are released.

I will start looking for Darkleaf. No slings or spears in the game but I have two vorp and one disrupter scimitars in the bank. The shapechange seems to be the problem and even though WOW (the other game) was able to incorporate shape changing this game is a bit more complex so I can see the problem. Like EQ the models have to be global, Like WOW the stats have to change but if they implement them as spells it can be worked around. Currently you have Tensors which changes stats and puts a transparent "Form" around the person which could be a way of implementing it. It also blocks casting and would have to have a "turn off" button like berserking. I did find some nice padded Fearsome armor of stability so will druids still have to be true neutral or will they be a neutral mix?

I think druids can be anything along the good/evil axis but must be neutral on the lawful/chaoic axis.

I wouldn't quote me on that.
Edit: SRD says
Alignment
Neutral good, lawful neutral, neutral, chaotic neutral, or neutral evil.
So a druid must be neutral on atleast one alignment axis but they get to choose which one.

Unfortunately right now I am working in France until next January so all the books here are in French. Are druids in the 3.5 players handbook, Eberon suppliment and/or preist suppliment these days? I don't feel like buying a couple of hundered dolars of books just for basic druid information. I have the original (soft cover books), AD&D (original), and a bunch of 2.0 suppliments but since I travel a lot, no use for the complete PnP 3.5 set.
Is there a PnP forum somewhere that discusses the "Forms" and current spell list?
Ok, so Natural armor and a set of weapons that half are missing from the game. Do you think they will implement spears for the 2h piercing group and/or will handwraps be added to the druid weapon list?
Does "Elven" Chain bypass the metal restriction. I doubt it but it should have a reduced effect along with mitral since they are considered "pure" and what about cold iron. Do you think they will reset stability to the way it was in beta where you could be any neutral mix and get the benefit?
I used to play druid/ranger or druid/rogue mixes but never played a monk so was wondering about that? How many levels of monk would be the most beneficial. I assume a druid with ranger or rogue would be best with 2 lvs of ranger or 1 of rogue.
