Trying to find a pug to do this on elite is a bit tough as of late. My guild is comprised of 3 real life friends so that won't quite cut it. If anyone feels they know the quest look me up. I need this for my silver flame favour and by putting this here I'm just trying to increase the responses I'm getting compared to the lfm's I've put up. I've done the quest a few times, just not on elite, which is why i understand the lack of pugs that do this quest. It is a bit confusing. Having done all the other silver flame quests on elite I dont think this favour is worth the grind, but none the less, i've come this far I might as well finish it. The pots are nice but not worth all those necro quests on elite. I need 7 more favour points to hit 400 (silver flame)
thanks for any takers in advance
look up mondo I usually plays nights on east coast.
thanks
:)

Those pots rock.

If you've done Inferno on lower difficulties, you'll find it barely scales in difficulty from normal to elite. The main difference is that the Cinderspawns are harder to disrupt, Cinnis has a LOT more HP and is a bit meaner, and the general trash mobs are better at tripping (living side) and harder to disrupt (Inferno side). The maze is the same, obviously.

Best strategy IMO is to use Str-damage weapons to incap the mobs on the living side without killing them. Then, their ghosts will not spawn in the Inferno. (Also, make sure to bring Fireball/Burning Hands wands to light flames and Ice Storm wands or Cone of Cold scrolls to put them out.

As for the maze - remember this & you'll get though easily. From the center, head west first; then counterclockwise to south. Once you kill the first Fire Ele, Dimension Door to the centre again, then go west, use the first portal, then go clockwise for the whole rest of the quest.

I'd also suggest that if you are not 100% confident that you can successfully get to teh two shrines, you might want to stock your party Clr up with some Heal scrolls beforehand. Fifty will make up for missing one shrine.

Above all, keep moving. The mephits will keep respawning and keep dealing small but annoying amounts of damage to you.
