Rog 12 WOTA II, TWF, Improved Crit
Started 10/16/10/16/10/16 stats.

I've taken WOTA I & II, and prereqs.
Other than that I have spent all the AP I can on Drow mellee or SA bonus enhancements.

And WOW!

This char dishes out some amazing DPS!

I use Flaming of Pure Good Rapier/Shortsword combo.
Under my feats in my char sheet it says SA damage 6d6+9.
I should have another +9 from enhancements.

Then if you add rogue damage boost.
And Assassination says it adds 10d6 even if they make their save!

Plus attacks from stealth get both weps damage...
it seems to me I get a couple sneak attacks at least before I get agro from a monster.

Then diplo and get a couple more......repeat.

Easily the best DPS per lvl char I have even created. Consistant high kill counts.

And I don't even have uber weps!

Add improved evasion/ rogue skills/ UMD

This is a fun char!

And I still get responses to my join requests "sry, we don't need a(another) rogue."

You guys really underestimate rogues IMO.

(and assassination is cool......still getting used to it and how best to use it, but it's DC is decent. Very good on normal)

When joining high-level quests, I often give the leader a choice of my two capped characters, WF Barbarian or Halfling Rogue. They *almost* always ask for the barbarian, even if they already have up-and-front melee types in the group... which I find interesting, as the rogue does more DPS and gets hit much less (to my reckoning), he can UMD raise dead/heal scrolls, scout, collect stones via sneak, etc., and to top it all off, he can assassinate about anything not red-named (saves casters a TON of SP killing trogs in Shroud Part 1, if they can put their egos aside for about 10 minutes).

Or maybe I just love playing my rogue, and think the Barbarian is a bit boring: angry face, run, smash, run, smash, jump, smash. Rinse and repeat.

I've had a heard time makinf a barb I liked.
Most of my chars tend to be dex/finesse and/or ranged.

My rog isn't perfect (yet :) ).
But if it can be SAed, man, can she dish out some damage!

Mine's Drow, but I'll be a halfling could do even more.

I know a lot of end quests have undead, and constructs....etc.
But those Brbs can't crit those either. And Rog's have the same chance of owning disrupters/greater banes...etc. as anyone else.

Yes, Str counts, but so does evasion.
I just think people need to open their minds about Rogues (and many other things in DDO as well)
