Whats the deal

Has anyone ever noticed that on one toon its seems all you ever pull is spell pen scepters or greater efficacy scepters. Thats all my fighter ever seems to pull. My cleric pulls nothing but bogus shields and my thief pulls usless robes. I go out to the desert looking for the infamous bloodstone, and all I pull is coronation shields have yet to pull one of those in the 1yr and 1/2 its been up. I hear people pull it all the time. So my question is how do I change my characters luck? I run all the quest that everyone else runs I put the time in 2 out of 3 days, the third day have to work. Yet I have only pulled 5 vorpals and even less smiters and disruptors. That elusive +5 mith full plate that I have never pulled. I have been running this game since beta so someone please let me know how to change this bad streak of luck. When people say they have pulled so many of these items they have lost count drives me crazy maybe they are just yanking my chain but who knows.

Many people play quite a bit more than you.

I didnt pull my first +5 Mithral Full plate until about 2 months ago....

Well if most of the day out of two day out of three isnt alot of time dont know what is. You can usually catch me on in the morning for several hours and in the evening from about 7p till 3 am. Have to work for 24 hour period yes i know have to support family and gaming habbit. But dont see how people could put that much more time into it then that. About 10+hours a day 2 out of three days. (dang wonder why wife gets mad lol). Also did I mention been playing since beta no breaks at all. Very loyal ddo player here.

Luck is what it is... nothing more than that.
I myself have miserable luck with loot. In a chest that had a smiter and two disrupters, I got gems and scrolls (not even good scrolls at that) - and that is par for the course with my luck. I've pulled four +1 tomes since beta, and my only +2 tomes have been favor ones. On the flip side, I've had friends and guildies with the exact opposite luck... multiple vorps a week, +5 mith armor, and so on. Sure, I've pulled "uber" items once in a blue moon - but not as often as others.

I find that my characters go on "Hot Streaks" when I haven't played them in a few weeks/month. For example when I roll a new toon and max them out xp wise. I have always thought it was becasue all of their chest/ransack timers had reset. Could just be wishful thinking on my part though...
