Solo challenge ACCOMPLISHED

Since this is my server and since I started an earlier thread about this, I'm putting it here.

Tonight, I took another stab at my "Drunken Sleeping Dust Solo Challenge."

And tonight, after 119 minutes and re-entering 6 times, I DID IT!!!

Oh, how happy I was.

All night people kept asking to join for the flagging, and I kept turning them away. And finally, right when I had the bastard down to maybe 6% health, someone asked to join for flagging.

I said no.

He said he'd just watch.

I hemmed.

Hawed.

Felt like an ass for denying people flagging rights.

So I invited him.

And changed my LFM message to "WHO NEEDS FLAGGING you got two minutes."

Someone who asked me earlier /telled me from an alt, so she got in.

Then another.

And then, I went in and NUKED that punk.

Done deal.

Yes, there are people in the quest.

No, they didn't help.

Yes, they said they'd back me up on the forums, and I believe them.

It'd be cool if people believed me, but even if they don't, I'm cool with it.

Because I know I did it.

28 point build with lots of diplomacy and bluff (because I made him like a pnp wizard) soloed sleeping dust.

The icing is I helped 3 people get flagged.

I'm happy with myself.

Time for more Patron XO Cafe (scrumptious).

EDIT: I did die 6 times, hence the re-enters. I'm sure it's not "uber" but normal standards, but I'm irrationally proud of what I did, so there.

Oh my gosh that is fabulous! That you solo'ed it is pretty spiffy, yeah, but I'm talking about how much fun you had doing it! That's what I like to see in DDO... people enjoying themselves. Your enthusiasm is obvious.

I'm proud of it. Not uber, don't really raid, don't have great gear. This was my first character ever made so he's got some creation faults.

As a representative of all the elitists out there I demand that the OP immediately stop enjoying this game. The only thing worth doing is grinding raid loot to trade for w/p rapiers. Any other tasks will be immediately deemed trite and unimportant. How dare he post an accomplishment that I was able to do eaiser, that he had fun doing something I can do easier makes it even worse.

It doesnt matter if people have done it before or if people have done it with less deaths or quicker.

What matters is the sense of well being that we get when we complete a task that has eluded us even though we have attempted it many times before.

congrats to the OP on what, to him, was an immense achievement, he didnt quit and has now reaped the rewards

dont pay any attention to those that want to post negatively on your Accomplishment!
maybe they have to make an attempt to rain on your parade because they have tried to solo the quest, and failed, probably failed miserably. Another reason could be, they lack the same tenacity that you showed by sticking with it, so what if you recalled 6 times, big deal.

Its not really an accomplishment when victory is assured. If you recall from a quest a handful of times, as a caster there is really no way your going to fail.

Something in my computers setup prevents me from taking SS. If you want a cheap camera Pic of an easy completion i could provide it.

Also, i don't think i refered to myself as either leetz or uber. Mostly because i think people who call themselves such tend to..um..how can i put it nicely? have an undeserved ego.

First off congrats on soloing dust anytime you can complete something just with yourself as backup it is great fun and a great accomplishent as for your antagonist in this thread hopefully his superiority complex is not contagious cause I don't want it. I hardly ever post on the forums just due to the negativity created by people like him. But this ****ed me off so I thought I would add my congrats to this thread and tell your nay sayer to go back to his own server thread with his negativity and good luck getting that swollen ego through doors.

Hey man, I know it was over a month ago when you did it, but congrats, man. Like Groggg, I rarely, if ever, post on the forums. I got into DDO to have fun and that's it. If I wiped, then I wiped. I just picked myself up and tried again. I've never soloed Dust, so you have accomplished more than I have. Hell, I finally had my first Shroud completion about a month and a half ago. I think it is great that you had a good drunken time because I know I have had PLENTY of good drunken times on DDO. Seeing as how you soloed it while in that state makes you aces in my book. Don't matter how many times you rezzed out, you showed your tenacity. Don't let tha haters from the other servers get ya down. I think they are still sore about Thelanis getting to the Subterrane first! Hey when you solo Rainbow drunk make sure you start another thread. And again CONGRATZ!!!!!
