View Full Version : Good offhand weapon to go with a W/P?

My ranger/monk/pali just ran his first shroud yesterday and it has started getting me really thinking about what Shroud weapon I want to make him.

He currently uses a W/P dagger in his main hand and a W/parrying shortsword in his offhand.

He is currently level 14 and is an ac build (52 self buffed ac, 57 in the raid last night) and I am planning on making the 3rd tier with the +4 insight bonus.

The 2 different weapons I have been thinking about would either be a earthgrab or radiance weapon (Rapier).

I don't know a lot about these 2 effects, however, and was wondering if they would really be that efficient with a w/p.

How often does earthgrab really hit? And do you land auto-crits with it?

Would Radiance be efficient if I have no rouge levels (therefor not landing sneak attack damage?)?

Thanks for the help,

Might think about the Ice freeze effect, it makes mobs auto-crit on proc for ~6 seconds.

To be honest, I'd recommend using just the best + Puncturing rapier you can find until you can get a second W/P weapon. (A high + Wounder is also a solid choice, and need not be a rapier).

Although the effects you have mentioned have synergy with Con damage weapons, they have less synergy than using a second Con damage weapon will have.
