VOD Elite PUG?!

You never know what you are going to get when you join a pick up group.

Sometimes you get a leader that goes afk for 30 minutes at a time, or rambles incessantly about meaningless **** while the party blows up...

Sometimes you grab a wizzy that refuses to haste or buff the group, fireballing the ceiling as he runs around aimlessly...

Last night I got lucky and joined a PUG led by Yushis (Brangien). A class act from start to finish.

He said elite VOD as we were about to portal and I did a mental tabulation on what I was gonna spend (waste) on scrolls and pots... Instead of disaster, I witnessed excellent leadership and an easy finish. Clearly defined roles and expectations with overlap support began the quest, dynamic tactical adjustments (without yelling ha!) during the raid, and a neat finish without any weird loot problems.

It was a well earned fight to the finish as well, and I know everyone had lots of fun!!

Solid bardage in there java, and everyone who was in the group (I couldnt really remember the names) did their part,

I know I gimped the run in when i asked to huddle together to swat detonating bats it AOE'ed the party killing you instantly and having everyone near death.

and like an idiot I walked into the spikes and died =p

Good recovery! Lots of fun! The monk wongton did his thing with the spell save sp and fire buffs. That was pretty neat.

Now back to Gianthold for Mana pots :D

You were standing there all by yourself across the room while we waited for the horned devil to come back down. We were grouped up taking a breather between fights, glaring at you across the room. There was a few seconds of silence, then you walk straight into the spike pit trap <Yushis has died.> ROFL, that was GREAT! Too bad I didn't have it recorded... that was classic. :D

Lufia and I were pretty well set on doing a Visions elite run. I was a bit speculative since it was my first time as a wizzy in there. :o This is one raid where everybody must do their part to a tee, and having a good leader assign duties and their backups can save the group. Thanks for leading that one, Lufia. ;)

We had a few people fall off the bridges on the way there (lol), but still managed to get through the horrible horrible (horrible!) lag. The short road to get to Visions is often 10x more difficult than the raid itself...

I was expecting to get zero raid loot on Visions elite, glad we had at least one drop. :o
