Is anyone else using this spell on their Bard?

I'm finding it quite useful for when I'm just running around casting spells. From what I've seen it trumps Displacement and Expedious Retreat, lasts for 31 minutes extended, and only goes away when you are hit (or if you hit something).

I'm wondering if anyone else thinks this is a benefical spell or not.

I'd like to get the Bard forums rocking again (Premier types: /play KISS Alive! /turns volume way up!) so everyone jump on and let's discuss!

Also, what are you're thoughts on Mass Suggestion? I like it! Although most other players don't. I can tell you what I don't like: A wizzy or sorc pk'ing a mob that the melee's have beat down almost dead. Peace!

It sounds like a fun spell if your a caster type, most def ^_^ I've never played with it myself, but I've always wanted too. Mass Sug kicks arse soloing, and it helps when we (as in my group) dont have any other cc nor tanking, so I'd use the mobs to tank. As for the wiz/sorcs pk'ing? I feel your pain lol

Good to see some casual topics on the bard boards, instead of all the number crunching and powergaming/flamin talk ^_^

Personally, I think there are too many things that cause it to go away to make it that useful. I've used it when I was going to run through a large amount of mobs on my way somewhere though. It also is great for parties, since it gives you some nice bells and great visuals, similar to a 60's-themed acid trip. You can buy scrolls that last something like eleven minutes though, so I don't think it would be worth taking up a spell slot.

It goes away when you iteract with objects or attack. (i.e. opening doors, chests, etc.)

I love this spell, but on my UMD toons, not my bard.

Its great for zerging quests. You charm a few mobs ahead of the party and just run past while the kill each other...provided of course that the melee types who measure their worth by their kill count don't kill the mobs your charms are engaging...

I can tell you what I don't like: A wizzy or sorc pk'ing a mob that the melee's have beat down almost dead. Peace!

I prefer a hold monster or stone to flesh rather than wasting my casters mana on a mob that is half dead. Usually if you stone a few, then the melee types will be contentedly hacking on the while I am off Pk'ing and FoD'ing further down the road.

I recently swapped out this spell, because I wasnt using it much. Its ok for running through bad neighborhoods if you dont plan to fight, or if you are planning on standing back and healing or casting spells without doing anything to draw agro.

Mass suggestion is one of the best bard spells IMO.
