View Full Version : Averting Twilight Forge Boredom...

This is standard practice within TA now:
Get to Lord Tentacles, everyone rolls 1d100.
Lowest roll solos him, while everyone else hopes for a 1 on a saving throw to see the 'flayer eat some brains.
Fighters try to kill the dogs while casters try to heal them with lightning. Tier 2 Lightning weapons or shocking burst weapons are the preferred method of dispatching them.
If for some strange reason the person soloing the boss actually dies, then the next lowest roller goes in and finishes him off.
What are some of the things you do like this?

We used to do close to the same thing with illithid except we called it fight club. Worked closely along the same lines as movie.

We were bored and on level 16's in VoN 5, so we put some Maximized/Empowered Walls of Fire on Arach's Knight.
We had been accustomed to him going down very fast, and he almost wiped the raid.
Made for a great change of pace.

Don't forget the dispells of buffs and grease...
You forgot the first rule of flight club: Never talk about fight club!
The senility set in - no wonder you had to take a break as guild leader... now I have to kiss up to someone else so I won't get kicked from the guild.

We have our own little, special way of making raid more fun. We drink, alot. We have a Drunken Dragon Raid every friday night, but that has never stopped us from sloshing our way through the Titan mid-week. After that, we make some critical mistake that makes the raid far more difficult (screwing up the green puzzle so that the blue door doesn't open and everyone needs to snap rez through yellow or losing the voice and ring in the lava during a Dragon raid).
It makes what is normal a very quick and easy raid a whole lot more challenging.
