I recently aquired a +5 Mith Tower Shield and I had +5 Mith Full plate ... So I came up with the idea for a paladin that does not melee much but instead initimidates to hold aggro while the others beat on the mobs.

Again, realize that this will NEVER lead a kill count ... The idea is to be hard to hit while holding aggro and blocking.

Intimitanks are a prime example of how ROns Character Planner doest show what a build really is. I cant tell you one way or another if this build is any good. It doesnt look good at all here.. But if you have the capabilities to equipt this character withthe best stuff int eh game, it oculd turn out OK.

How did you wind up with Odd numnbers in Bluff and Intimidate? Why did you put ANY points into Bluff?

Other thanthe Mithral Full plat and TS, what kind of defense is this guy really gonna have?

Remeber... Halflings get wacked intheir intimidae skill... -4 against most mobs and you'l be seeing -8 to -12 against most raid bosses.

I don't like the concept of the character.

In my opinion, you're sacrificing way too much for what you're getting. Sure, this guy is going to be an unkillable rock but...

Your saves are so high you'd not even fail in a level 30 dungeon.
You got inexistant DPS.
And somehow, in all of that, you lack Evasion... which would be needed for an unkillable rock.

At least, fighter-based with paladin and rogue for saves and Evasion would lead to a better build to fit in the concept. If your goal is to stand there and never, ever get hit... might as well grab Evasion. Then, by going fighter-based you'd get more feats to play with, which would result in less of a DPS loss... because there are time where it'll be wiser to swing your weapon than just stand there and hold aggro.

Intimitanks are a prime example of how ROns Character Planner doest show what a build really is.

Totally agreed.

I love halflings for the extra stuff they give you, however in this case they don't make the best intimitanks for their small size difference penalty. And since you wont put out decent damage as the above has said, Intimidate is your main agro manager...which is at a penalty already for being halfing. (I have been there with this one)

If you are looking for something slightly different than usual...try an 8 Ftr / 8 Pally build (Human 32pt) that way you can be str based and use Khopeshes....and also get a few extra pally burst damages from enhancements and 2nd level pally spell - Angelskin for some extra DR. Also you get the seldom used agro management pally enhancement - Divine Rightiousness.

If you like I could put the rest of it together ...though it would be a slight variation of this TwF I put together that uses no armor.

Evasion won't work if my main point is creating a character that will use that Mith FP and TS.

Meh ... second level wouldn't let me put the two points into intimidate ... I just dumped it.

Then use MBP?

I would suggest dwarf or human over a halfling for an intimitank. You want as few penalties as possible to intimidate.
Humans can get the highest intimidate in the game with the Sentinel Dragonmark feats.
Dwarves have lower intimidate than humans but are the heartiest race and can get Dwarven Armor Mastery I-III which you will want since you'll need high AC on an intimitank.

On my dwarven intimitank Grundable, I currently have the following stats
Str: 24 = 14 + 3 Levels + 1 Book + 6 Item
Dex: 18 = 12 + 0 Levels + 1 Book + 5 Item (Spectral Gloves)
Con: 20 = 16 + 0 Levels + 0 Book + 4 Item
Int: 13 = 12 + 0 Levels + 1 Book
Wis: 22 = 14 + 0 Levels + 2 Book + 6 Item
Cha: 24 = 12 + 1 Level + 2 Book + 6 Item + 3 Enhancements

Levels
Fighter 1, Paladin 15

Feats Taken
1. Toughness, Weapon Focus(Slashing)
3. Dodge
6. Extend
9. Improved Critical(Slashing)
12. Combat Expertise
15: Skill Focus: Intimidate

Skills
Balance: 2
Intimidate: 45 = 19 Base + 13 Item + 2 Luck Bonus + 7 Charisma Bonus + 3 Feat Bonus + 1 Enhancement Bonus
Concentration: 17

His DPS is a little low, but he hits as well as a paladin with 28 str so I'm not complaining too much :)
