do a warforged, max str and con, you won't be unhappy...

pretty standard for feats, power attack (so you can max it and get it to -10 / +20 damage 2handing) and 1x toughness and improved critical (whatever).

he's looking for roleplay aspects, stats and such dont really matter

I found it best to pick a role/profession for the guy. Dwarven farmer, Elf surfer, halfling chef, and run with it that way.

umm he's looking for roleplay aspects not stats and such

I found it best to pick a role/profession for the guy. Dwarven farmer, Elf surfer, halfling chef, and run with it that way.

Please forgive Tot, he's on Argonnessen and the word roleplay means nothing to him.

Ok I'm still debating the race, but I think I found a Occupation unless someone comes up with one better. He will be a tour guide.!

Give him an ironic profession: auctioneer :D

A lisping auctioneer. It makes me chuckle.

I personally think a Halfling would be funnier than a robot as far as the tour guide thing goes. mean can he see over the "dashboard" on the bus or does he have to ride in the booster seat? Can he see over enough things to actually see the sights? Plus a Halflin barbarian is always more entertaining than a robot :)

I'm thinking a tour guide works out to be better. Barbarians always run ahead so there used to showing people places. Halfling is a good choice, and I can't picture a WF with a lisp. The only one I can remember was the robot from buck rogers that went "bidi bidi bidi" every once in a while. A dorf would also seem to be a good choice, so I'm still leaving race open hoping to hear what more people think.

How about a character who struggles to pronounce his r's as well....name him Lisp Roger. You might get a couple 'huhs' when you pronounce that name.

Perhaps, also make him very sensitive to criticism....so if someone in the party gets out of line, you can say.....'Centuwion.....stwike him......vewy woughly.'

This would quite possibly be the best choice :)

Roleplaying = Pretending to be something you are not.

I stand by my original post.

Lisp Harlip, halfling barbarian with a cleft pallet. Is overly sensitive to his speech impediment and dislikes criticism as a whole. Good guide as long as no one is standing in front of him and gets agitated at the "tall ones" for getting in his way when he is leading an expedition. Has a propensity for dwarven ale regardless of the effects it has on his speech impediment.

I'd go with a dwarf that had some teeth knocked out and thus pronounces his own name "Lithpuh." He tries to talk dwarven trash and make himself out to be tough by boasting about his drinking, killing, and womanizing skills but fails to impress because of the lisp. This frustrates him; sometimes so much that he flies into a mad rage and smashes things.

Killcount means nothing to you. You adventure only to rant and break things. You may finish the quest last on the killcount, but you will never be beaten in the breakables.

I always liked the idea of Thistlethwaite on a lisping character.

I was going to suggest an oral burn victim, but I think that has been so overdone as to be cliche'. I like the WF idea, with the lisp coming from a defect in "manufacture," read he's got a low INT. I would probably not multiclass, as with his limited intelligence, he can't do more than swing an axe and rage. Feats to come. For his last name, I might skip it as too much for him to handle or give one that is going to confuse.

I'm going to hell, but......

Funniest thing I ever heard was a lisper and a stutterer get into an argument. Now that's funny.

So he has a short attention span and when joining a pug always asks, "Now wheya ith that again?" Then 3 minutes after you tell him, he's still not there and he says, "I'm thowwy, wheya ith the quetht?"

He also is afflicted with a sporadic inability to tell friend from foe. Every third battle he will spin around and swing fruitlessly at his own party members.

Furthermore, he has a deathly fear of scorpions, and never wears a poison protect item because it reminds him of them. If a scorpion appears (even a cleric pet), he runs screaming back the way he came. If he gets poisoned, he /sits and waits to die, bemoaning his short, tragic life.
