That is the question I've been asking myself lately. My Barb is my first character, I'm a founder that's been in and out of the game for a while. It's been a tough choice to see if he's flawed enough to just reroll at this point. So I thought I try and get a fresh perspective from some fellow Barbs. My main reason for not rerolling at this point, this is my highest level character and closest to reaching 1750 favor, 1364 currently. I'll be the first to say that the build isn't perfect and has some flaws, perhaps even major ones. I guess what I looking for is a potential way to finish off the rest of my favor, I'm up for making changes if needed, or if it's just so flawed that it's not worth the effort. without further adieu, here it is:

I know the HP is low, and that's my biggest concern. I do my best to stay raged as often as possible which brings my HP up to 361, still not great for a Barb. I have a few rings of rage to try to double rage when I can, bringing it to 375. With the low HP and of course abysmal AC I feel like a hassle when I'm in a group due to the need for heals. I'd appreciate any advise that I can get at this point.

Your stats and skills look like something that is salvageable and still able to run high level quests (though the swim skills are pretty unuseful at this point). If you are going to re-roll, I would suggest getting your barb up to 1750 favor and then creating another toon to replace him though you cannot delete the character with 1750 favor and still get the 32 point build option.

Once you get 1750 favor and roll up a 32pt character, you can delete the character with 1750 favor. Your account is flagged on that server, not a particular character. Just hold off until you've actually rolled a 32pt character though, to make sure you've unlocked it.

Yes you can(unless they recently changed it), though I personally would keep the unlocker until you need another slot.

Whats gimpy about the build?
He has higher DEX than I woulda went, fow show, but whats wrong with him?
Decnet STR, decent CON...hell...run the reaver, get yerself a +3 DEX tome and go TWF'ing.

Get yer 1750 and then reroll if ya want...and I dont think deleting a 1750 toon will mean you loose 32pt builds.

The only two flaws I see is that you wasted 1 level in Con and that you increased Swim rather than Intimidate. That's all.

What do you see as a problem?

You do not need a 32 pt build to make a good barbarian. Yes, it helps... but if you really want to save your toon, there is no need to reroll.

I agree with Borror0's points. They are hardly build breaking.

Well The point on con and swim are definitely part of it, as I said it was my first character and I discovered late the swimming wasn't helping. Not entirely sure why I did the point into con to this day. I guess the biggest flaw, in my opinion is the HP. It just seems like so many of the other builds I see have HP that is much higher than what typically have.

Thanks for the advice though everyone, I appreciate it. I think I'm going to keep heading for 1750 favor with him, and go from there.

HP, in your case, is all about gear. Get better gear, and you'll be where the others are at.

Nothing in your build would lead to low HP. If that was your concern, consider it as non-important. 17 base Con is a lot.

Yeah you are all right about the 1750... I just have a tendency to not trust the bugs in the game and would hate to lose out after making it there. As said, I would prolly at least make my re-roll prior to deleting him.

Nothing wrong with your build.

And if those are your starting stats, as someone else has said, a +3 dex tome will make you eligible for TWF which in current end game is better. Your stats are identical to my 2HF barb, and handles end game just fine.

Gunga

Gunga, my main, is a 28 pt 16 dwarf barb. He's got 28 str and 32 con unbuffed, unraged. 590 hitpoints unraged.

Why don't you have toughness? With the toughness feat and enhancements you'll get an extra 118 hit points...bringing you close to 500 raged which is a lot better than where you're at. Hitpoints is key to survivability, and you'll want to use your last 2 stat points in str. Get yourself madstone boots, rage pots and keep trying for the choker.

If you do wind up getting 1750 favor, build yourself a warforged sorc. ;)
