Thread of the week?

Tolero, Have we just been too negative or not quite creative enough lately? We haven't had a thread of the week for last week or this week yet. I was just wondering if they were discontinued or if you guys are just swamped.

My pet peeve with the TotW was that they always picked the "funny" threads. While I appreciate the need to keep things lighthearted in an environment that can admittedly sometimes become pretty nasty, I wish from time to time they'd throw some TotW love to the *useful* threads, such as the Definitive Static Loot thread, or the Wliderness XP thread, et al. THOSE are the threads that are of real benefit to the community (not to mention the TON of time and work they need from their maintainers), and they deserve better than to be overlooked in favor of the "substitute your own DDO flavored lyrics into this 80's tune" thread.

Mostly 2 things. 1. Lot of candidates recently. Been having to have votes around the office for them! 2. I've been up to something.

As for the "funny" ones (though I don't know that I consider that cool language thread as "funny") vs community guides, I have something in mind for that as well ^^

Some may not fall intot he "Funny" catagory, but I cannot think of a Single "Thread of the Week" that was actually benefitial to the Game. I've never seen a Guide, Never seen a game suggestion thread, never seen anything that would benefit Developement of the game.

Its rather frustrating for those of us who put a lot of time and effort into trying to present stuff that is a benefit to the Community. Seeing Outstanding work Passed by for a Beer Song, Or Screenshots that have been done many times before....

yeah it isnt really funny in the forums but come to khyber for a visit and join one of my raids. when my throat gets better i'll start my language lessons again. the last one we had, had people teaching us german, spanish and of coz mandarin. we were teaching each other basic stuff (incl stuff to tell the opp gender) and of coz, how to curse and swear :D

ps: leave your infractions behind if you come for language lessons with aranticus :p
