abundant step help

ok i am having problems figuring out how to use abundant step.
simple do i hold the key (i have assigned for abundant step) down to use it, or just hit the key (i have assigned for abundant step) once?
also do while running, or do it while jumping?
how do I aim with it?

the reason i ask is because just made lvl 12 really had not played around with it to learn how to use it, and did my first Titan raid and of course evryone expected me to do the puzzle levers because was monk. well could'nt because didn't know how to do abundant step. anyway had to do levers ole fashion way of which my monk got 2.

any guidance appreciated

Abundant step is a "one click" ability that consumes 10 ki. It launches you forward horizontally for a fair amount of distance at a fast speed. You can use it at any time that you have the ki to use it, are centered, the cooldown has expired on it, and are capable of taking actions. This means you can use it while standing still, running, jumping, sneaking, turning, and so forth.

Being a clicked ability granted by a feat, don't forget that you have to put it in a hotbar to use.
