I see a paralyzing heavy pick of puncturing on the AH and wondering if switching out a rapier on a barb to this would even be worth it? Still not sure if it is worth the effort and figure this question is worth a flame or two. :D

It would be to me. Hell, stopping a critter in its tracks and beating on it without it hitting back is always a good thing. On top of that, when you get a crit, not only do you do x4 damage, but you get that nice con damage bonus. Probably not the best DPS weapon out there, but I wouldn't get rid of it just because of others opinions...
