So I have been playing for a year and a half. I find I can't just play one character to cap and then play another one. I like variety. I like being able to switch between different characters depending on what I feel like doing. My problem comes from my personal interests. I have alway liked casters. Never really played anything else until DDO. I currently have a 16th level sorcerer, 12th level Paladin, 10th level rouge/ftr/bard combo, 8th level wf wizard, 9th level cleric, and a couple of low level bards. The game still holds my interest its the characters I am not sure what to do with. I play them all but I just can't seem to get super excited like I orginaly did with my Sorcerer. I want to play something different and was really excited when monks came out. Got to level 4....then just felt it wasn't my cup of tea. What I really want I can't have. I want to play a druid. Absolutely love them. More for their mix or cleric and arcane spells then for the shapechanging. What I am wondering is leaving aside the shape changing is their anyway to achieve the mix of arcane a cleric spells of a druid and still be effective? If their is can someone suggest a build.
Thanks

There's the tempest barbarian build, 6 rng/10barb. Or the holy avenger build, 6 rng/10pal. Or the righteous assassin, 13rog/3pal or 10rog/3pal/3rng or 10rog/6pal or 10rog/3pal/3ftr. Or the buff bot battery pack, 6bard(spellsong)/10clr. (Names are just total bs that I felt matched the build)

or you could try to cap a toon by only taking a level or two of each class (you would have to forgo monk & paly to get the most, but you could totally be a chaotic neutral bard/barb/rog/rgr/ftr/wiz/sorc and take 2 lvls of each
:)
it would definatly be a challenge at about lvl 5 or 6 to 10 or 11
a) get pugs to accept you into group
b)survive
after that you would be in real trouble, LOL

A 9cleric/7wizard would be able to raise dead and throw decent cures and buffs but also firewall and throw arcane buffs including stoneskin and haste.
Not likely to be good at nuking but would be very interesting for party support.

I've been wanting to play around with this, but I just don't have the time. Also, I blew all my money on my monk :)
14 Paladin/2 Monk
Scimitar TWF build w/ crit mult enhancement and imp crit: slashing; will have 15-20/x4 crit. It might be easier to use kukris and go dex build, but that wouldn't be as cool. You might save the OTWF feat using kukri in off-hand, though.

Halfling Wizard 15/bard1
3 dragonmark feats for healing/empower healing/spell pen X2
empower/maximize/heighten/extend
Bard level is for empower healing and umd access.
Have high Umd for those heal scrolls and restore/remove disease/etc...
This should cover the core Druid spells you want; finger, firewall, stoneskin, heal, cure types.
Web is better then entangle anyway, and Barkskin just isn't possible.
You will be down 62hps, but gain displacement and haste.

This is about what I was thinking based on your interest - a halfling dragonmarked caster.
Of course, bards in general fit the bill pretty well too. They kind of suck at lower levels, though, but once you pass the hump they rock.

I would reccommend and Arcane Trickter. (14 wiz, 2 rog) With 14 levels of caster you will be able to to a good backup caster if not a main. 2 levels of rogue are enough for you to max out all 4 main rogue skills as long as you max out INT (which you want to do for Wizard anyway). It really is a pretty cool build. Fun to play too. Just a really good support character.
p.s. i recommend dwarf if you have 32 pt builds... enjoy.

You do know about the whole "max 3 classes" thing right?

if you are bored, like casters and want an interesting "Challenge" build then maybe run with my project (for many of the same reasons except I only have 1 Caster 14 Wiz 2 Rogue).
Panddora
Drow Bard 7 Wizard 7 Rogue 2 (Currently at Level 4, once Monk is capped I'll be working on her)
Start out with a +2 INT Tome and at Level 20: Bard 9 Wizard 9 Rogue 2; or; Bard 11 Wizard 7 Rogue 2.
Why Wizard and not Sorcerer? I'm all about Feats, Metamagic and Functionality feats are priceless in this build and Wizard will give you 2 MetaMagic, as well as Skill Points and you'll be a VERY good Trap Monkey.
Like I mentioned before I build tanks, Battle Clerics (real ones....not improvised), and combat Rogues. This build is ZERO combat ability or skills and simply is designed as a Buff Bot with Evasion for high Survivability and Skills & UMD to support group.
If interested I'll post the Build once I get to my office.

Thanks all some interesting ideas here. I'd never considered a dragonmarked halfling wizard before. Very interested in that and Dex your drow build also seem interesting. I really want druids but am afraid i will be waiting a long time. Thanks for the ideas guys and gals.

My advise if your bored is to creat your own unique alt. You know you play style and Ron has a awesome CharGen. Start playing around with this until you come up with something that just might fit you play style. Then go to town!!! You might just be supprised what you can come up with...

Halflings are like a scooter and a fat chick. (not getting points for completing the joke) Enjoy
Another fun build is a ranged cleric. Trying to range mobs and keep track of everyone's health bar is quite a challenge.
here's a thread on the non-arcane archer build
