I am trying to squeeze in Fire tier3 into my water monk build for boss fights.
I've listed my enhancements below and need to pick your collective brains to figure out if it's possible.
I am dead set on keeping these enhancements and this may be my down fall:
Halfling Cunning IV (willing to go 3)
Halfling Guile IV (willing to go 3)
Halfling Dex II
Monk Wisdom III
Water Tier3
Unbalancing Strike
Fist of Light
Way of the Elegant Crane III

Here are my current enhancements
Halfling Cunning IV
Halfling Guile IV
Halfling Dex II
Monk Wisdom III
Water Tier3
Unbalancing Strike
Fist of Light
Halfling Luck Fort: III
Halfling Luck Reflex: I
Halfling Luck Will: I
Way of the Elegant Crane III
Fire Stance (Disciple of Candles) II
Water Stance (Master of the sea) III
Monk: Concentration I
Monk: Wisdom III

Thanks

I am, Rameses!

ki generation in fire stance 3 with way of the elegant crane 3 is going to be absurd... let us know if you figure it out. My halfling water monk is about to drop rise of the phoenix and i'd be interested to know what you decide upon.

I only plan on using the Tier3 Fire Stance for Raids and Boss fights where a 30 Str is more likely needed than a 32 Wisdom.
So far I've toyed around with the character generator and figured that I'll have to drop to Guile III and Cunning III.
*sigh* well I guess 14 extra damage is as good as 16 extra damage

I'd drop halfling luck (Fortitude) down to tier 2 so that you could allocate those three points into the fire stance.

It's a little painful to do that since Elegant Crane gives him -3 fortitude.

All in all, the amount of effects you have to make a fortitude save against aren't staggering or anything. The main threats are flesh to stone, disintegration, and stun effects (maybe death effects if you are bold enough to run around without deathblock). Going down 1 point of fortitude for +1 damage on boss fights may be worth it.

I see where you coming from saying this. But being Halfling I get a Racial +1 to all saves. So the +2 to Fort from Halfling Luck: Fort II would be a viable route.

Drop the concentration and the halfling guile and cunning IV; should give you enough points.
