my level 12 WF barb carries a variety of two handers. My vorpal doesn;t hit very hard except when i crit of course. Some of my other weapons hit hard enough, but i'm not gifted in the quick fingers department. So switching weapons on the fly is not as quick or smooth as it could be. I don't play a lot so i don't have all the quests memorized so I can't always switch in anticipation of the make up of the next mob. What is the best allround two hander out there?
Something like a transmutting, vorpal flaming burst, paralizing great axe of disruption +5? ( I wish)
So what should i carry or look for?

For your level (and arguably at endgame) is the Sword of Shadows out of Von 6. It's the main thing I carry takes the place of sooo many weapons. If you haven't heard of it is a greatsword that crits at X3 and has a crit range of 17-20. Add the improved critical feat and barbarian power critical enhancements, and you're critting on a 13 or better.

a good 'ol Holy of pure good is about as good a "common" weapon as you use. Sure there are others out there, but that kind of weapon you should be able to pick up at the vendor (although, you may have to make a few trips there per day to finally find one) Again, there are tons of uber weapons, but Holy of PG hits just about everything in the game for 3d6 above the normal dmg. Although, Transmuting of PG would be nice to have as a back up for certain mobs. Switching between a couple weapons isn't too taxing even for keyboard "challenged"
