barb DR currently caps at 7/- (when not blocking).

non-blocking DR (the kind that shows up in your character sheet or buff bar) never-ever-ever stacks... so there's really no question as to how high you'll get it.

please refer to the following if DR is still confusing (its a confusing subject):

you're pretty much already there

... unless you want to make a Sword and Board Barb... which I imagine the Barb Enthusiasts will yell at you for

you make a pure barb
you take a max str and put the rest of your points into Con
you take 1 Toughness Feat
you take all the toughness and Improved DR Enhancements

Head Piece = Minos Legens (toughness and Heavy Fort helm)
Green Steel Goggles HP item from the shroud raid

+6 Con Necklace
The Belt from the Titan Raid I think is +6 Strength and Greater False Life

Agent of Argonesson Favor gets you +10 HP

yeah pretty much basic stuff

I'm sure someone else knows more specifics

If I have a barb with max DR and wear lets say adamantine armor it's DR would not stack?

nope it won't

the only DR that stacks is Blocking DR

nope it would overlap but since bard dr is - then the armor would be fairly useless.

barB. ;) And I have no issues with a barB doing sword and board if the player chooses. Nothing wrong with that at all if you ask me.

The only way to get a higher DR on a character would be to make a WF, take adamantine body, and at 1st and every 3 levels after that (3,6,9, etc) take the feat that allows you to add on another DR to that. The problem is that the WF DR is DR/adamantine and not DR/-. Meaning that transmuting and adamantine weapons can cut right through it.
