me and my guild are trying to beat Cinnis in the abbot pre-raid but as far the best we`ve done is to get him down at 25%.

There`s got to do something with the runes but he regen too fast... any advices?

you have to get on him. i've only done it once,and it was with a group that had a solid strategy, but i know that the main portion of it was to hammer him with casters. i've always taken lots of casters into Litany, and its worked quite fine for most of the sides.

Make sure you turn those runes off as soon as you can so the fireball traps shut down. That is what heals Cinnis if you let them stay on. There should be 4 runes inside Cinnis' room to shut off (no stat requirements to turn them off).

I don't think he really regens much, unless someone screws up and throws a Wall of Fire. It's true there are fire traps in the room, but they never bothered me much.

It's helpful to remember that he is an undead fire elemental, so both mages and clerics can blast him with serious magic damage. Melee is fine on him too, but have a cold resist and deathward!

Oh, and of course you know how to use the special beholder eyestalk item to debuff Cinnis's shield. Don't forget that part.

For positioning, it can be nice to get him in a corner on the lower level, pinned in by two tanks, while anyone who wants to cast stays above and shoots down on him.

Strat for Cinnis

First and most importantly: No Zerging. Be sure to buff.

Fire Resist, and Cold Resist are a must. Other buffs are cool.

Place people on the 4 runes spread out around the room. Casters and/or Clerics at the top. Tanks below.

Have an Evasion build or a HIGH HP tank type run onto the activation area for Cinnis and grab agro FAST. (As soon as Cinnis spawns hit the 4 runs!!!) Have the runner go down the stairs, and around to one corner. Here he Shield blocks and prepares to take a beating for a few moments.

Tanks below run up behind Cinnis and block him in. The runner also -tries- to come out and help block in if possible. Tanks begin beat down.
Mean while Casters on top runs take out the trash, and move above Cinnis. Casters begin to lay down Cones of Cold and Polar Rays. Clerics use Mass Cures as often as possible to mass heal group as well as to hurt Cinnis.

Thats the way I've always beat him... And honestly never had to use the one use item to help. If you let him roam around you're hurting yourself.. If you don't shut down the firetraps you're fubar.

Deathward is pretty crucial. It's more important than Fire resist, for sure.

Interesting, I've run that a good 10 times (usually with no more than 4 members in the party - Litany groups are hard to fill) and never noticed the runes, he's gone down that fast.

Polar Ray, Cone of Cold, Heal, and some mixture of Holy, (Greater) Undead Bane, Icy Burst, and he's usually toast.
