A complete party wipe in "The Subterain - Central" only because of lag.

Yes, yes I realise the whole party experienced it, and yes I realise everyone that plays this game is experiencing the
same lag, but yer still gonna be told its your end.

it shows up in th marketplace AND gianthold areas AND I go from fine to dead as I freeze die.

Yeah, it's from my end, sure.

Best you can do is reboot to force the cache out of their client and hope the front side connection is better and temp files do not accumulate as fast.

I so agree. I almost dont want to do VOD because the run there is such a chore....

I've been playing my midlevel paladin a lot lately, and half the reason is because of the lag. I usually play casters, you see, but the half-second (or more!) lag on everything was causing more frustration than fun per gaming session.

The paladin's been experiencing far fewer effects from the lag, the most noticeable one being sometimes two or three monsters die at the exact same moment. (I'm using sword and board...umm, well, usually axe and board, but you get the idea) Since melees don't have their attacks fail when their target moves a bit, the whole facing issue is moot. If your current target is unavailable for a given swing, the game automatically picks something else within range to roll against. A fireball (for instance) would simply fizzle.

I've been enjoying the paladin quite a bit, but it's also hitting home just how much the game is broken for my poor casters that a melee half their level is having so much easier a time of it.

I should probably mention the paladin's split his time about 50/50 between groups and solo play, that's doubtless affecting my perceptions of the lag. But even my capped sorc playing solo experiences far more effect from lag than the paladin ever could.
