Just wanted to comment on a couple of shroud runs i've been on recently.
It seems theres been a resurgence of "accidents" in the shroud, namely pt 2 and aggroin' the rednames before the grp is set and rdy. Now, i don't lead raids, just not my style and will possibly get slammed for making comments on it because of that. But heres the thing,if you're the raid leader?? and it goes wrong??or even goes wrong before it starts?? then ummmm BE the LEADER. What seems to be happening is that because the "perfect plan" doesn't go ummmm, well,"perfectly" then nothing happens.Ppl run about like headless chickens with noone actually taking control of the situation. This has happened 3-4 times lately.
If it goes wrong??and you're leader?? take a breath, give instructions, get ppl into positon, even if it means killin one of the reds to give you some breathing room,or allowing the noble sacrifice of someone pulling the bad guys away and suffering a glorious death fighting the evil hordes. No plan survives first contact with the enemy (and apparently??it sometimes doesn't even survive entering the instance lol)
Wasn't meanin this to be a rant,so hope its not taken that way.If you want to lead a raid?? and it starts goin pear shaped?? well?? ummm YOU'RE the leader, and yes, sometimes its other ppls fault that it goes wierd, but mass headless chicken runnin is ......???
ok,well, just a comment from one of the nameless rank 'n file lol
cheers.

... the person that needs to take responsibility if they agro the middle early is the person who does it.
Just get killed and own up. Groups would MUCH rather you said, "Sorry guys, I accidentally got agro, I'm dead in the middle" :o, than pull said agro back to them early.

many times many people set up raids coz they:
1. want to do but none is willing to put up lfm
2. cant get in one (various reasons)
3. etc, etc, etc
the star guy may not always be the leader of the group
and anyone can pluck up the courage and lead when things go pear shaped, including yourself......

Couldn't disagree more with this Shug, the Guy with the star IS the leader of the Group thats why they have the star if they don't want to lead (but just formed the grp) then they say from the beginning. If they keep the star then I am looking to them to lead us! Nothing worse than trying to fix a problem when suddenly everyone wants the be the chief and no-one the indian

I gotta agree with CDG here. I do nothing but lead PUG shrouds, and when I do so , everyone knows I'm leading. We've had some idjits running to center lately as well, I tell them to stay in the middle and die, and we usually don't have much trouble. Once in a while we do, but rarely. The biggest problem is people not speaking up and saying they're new to Shroud or leaders not asking. I always ask if anyone is new. If no one speaks up I don't expect to have to give much direction, just basic organizational leading. If someones new the walkthrough ensues and everyone just has to be patient. If someone starts an LFM and can't lead the group, they need to pass off to the person in the group who can.

I think what Shugar is trying to say is, that he is the real leader everytime he joins a group ;)

lol kaar, you misquoted me. i was stating how some people dun actually lead the raids they form up. i have been unfortunate enough to be in a few of these and i had to pick up someone's elses slack in part 2 due to this particular reason. for this, now i select the groups i join (raids only). i now generally join those set up by people who actually lead. the problem is they do not say anything about not leading so that people looking for groups will be misleaded and join them. i do agree that the star guy should lead, i'm not refuting that, just stating some of the experiences that i have.
