It's helpful to mention that the green zone puzzle has two stages of completion: yellow access and then blue access. Unless you have more than 9 players in the party, there is really no reason to go all the way to blue access. In that case, you can simply stop after Bottom 3.

There is one reason to open up the blue corridor form the green side=XP at completion

The XP granted by completing to blue is tiny. 40 xp? 50 xp? Whatever, it's not enough to bother noticing.

You probably think you won't complete the quest if the green puzzle isn't fully completed. That is untrue. There are ways to reach the end of Twilight Forge without completion, but that isn't one of them.

Ok, guys I really dont care, I was one of the first people to duo this quest and we all know there are many ways to go with the puzzles...all that matters is that people who dont know how to do the green puzzle...now they can...

Am a pretty casual player. I was on a pug the other day on this quest, where folks decided to randomly turn the various puzzle pieces and kind of hope that it worked out. After that didn't work, we turned to an online guide, and then discovered that it is possible to screw up the puzzle so that it can't be fixed.

Quest completion with xp was what I was referring to.

Green puzzle complete
Red water maze complete
Yellow levers complete
Purple area barrier down

All these tasks must be complete to get awarded quest completion xp.

Ps. Kegh. Nice job on the pics. It will help lots of players.

Yes, I can tell what you're referring to. But you are wrong. You are confusing correlation with causation.

There is no need to go green -> blue to get completion.

Let me explain how Twilight Forge is set up. First is the entry area, then a choice to go green or purple. From within green you can reach yellow or blue, and from purple you can reach red or blue. From red, yellow, and blue you can regroup at the high-security corridor and proceed to the end of the quest. That corridor will only open if someone has brought tokens from all 5 colors.

Most of the colors only have one place to get them, but blue has two places. If you've been to either one of those places, you can win the quest. It's fairly popular for some players to use exploits to reach the end of the quest without solving the red (swimming) and yellow (tiles) puzzles. That denies them completion XP and favor.

However, for a group of 9 or fewer players to finish the quest and simply not bother opening the green->blue pathway doesn't involve those exploits. The blue pathway is essentially an "overflow" for extra players, because it contains no obstacles within it except for a clear hall to the regrouping area.

Generally, whenever I run green puzzle I also flip the following circled tile to complete power:

This drops all the bridges as well, letting everyone run across them instead of having to rely on people's twitch/jump skills (which a lot of us know aren't up to snuff -- CC runs notwithstanding).

Otherwise, exactly how I do it on Tanka.

It's a very useful post, and I pretty much do it the same way when I solo Green while others are over in Purple/Red.

However, if you can get even one other person over there with you, you can skip the Ddoors in Top 1 and Top 2, and the only thing lighting the rune in Bottom 2 does is drops the first bridge, which is more of a convenience than a necessity. You shouldn't need to D-door out of Bottom 5 either unless again you are aiming to drop the second bridge.

Everyone has their different ways of doing things, and this is still an effective guide for those new to the raid. Anything that encourages people to try Titan and makes the raid seem less intimidating is a good thing :)

I came across this thread today when I decided to run my own Titan PuG. I have never had to do Green side before, so I didn't know this particular puzzle at all, though I've completed many times. I've just always been in red, yellow, or blue.

I thought I could figure it out myself and ended up breaking the entire puzzle with an improperly placed DD. That's when I decided to google the puzzle and found this guide. It was very easy to understand, as the pictures are worth a thousand words. Made the run so much smoother and faster.

And now that Green Puzzle is no longer optional, I thought this thread deserved a bump. Maybe some fresh faces will see this, and try out the Twilight Forge.

I gave the OP +1 rep. Added this to my bookmarks.
