Hello,

I wanted to create an elfen character who can accomplish stuff no other race could do better (especially our short, hairy friends ).

The only usefull and unique thing elfs have is their Dragonmark of Shadow, so i build around that.
Besides that i wanted the build to be versatile and self-sufficient, which i accomplished.

Ladys and Gentleman, i present you Phiarlan´s Champion. The Elf who can dish out some serious beating when they look, and even more when they dont. All the while without being a burden to the cleric ,as he is practically Perma-Displaced.
Ohh, before i forget it,he is also a competent trapsmith. So better send all those trap-monkeys back to the harbor where they can hunt Kobolds.

Some comments on the build:
- I was tempted to include Tempest in the build, but decided against it, as that first and foremost means taking 3 dead feats, which i plainly didnt have. And also lowering Fighter down to 2 levels to be able to raise Ranger to 6. Which also would cost 14 HP (as no Fighter´s Thoughness II and less base HP) and HPs are every elf´s weak side. And cutting into the Rogue levels would have meant less sneak attack damage and an additional lowering of STR to raise INT, to still be able to do a decent Trap-Job. In the end the price would have been to high.

- Before Raid and Crafted Items he will have standing HP-Total of 311. (GFL 30, Argonessen 10, +6CON-Item 48, Minos 18) This in combination with Evasion and Perma-Displacement should make him capable of tanking almost all enemys, if the need arises.

- I used three +1 tomes in the creation process, as they are relatively easy to obtain for someone who has PB32 unlocked, which in turn is an absolute prereq for this character.

- His Strengh will be 32 (with +6 Item and self-buffed Rams Might , which i dare to include as semi-permanent, as he will be able to keep it up through the whole quest)

- His Defense isnt AC, so dont be afraid to ask for a Rage-Spell from your friendly Arcane Caster. And wear a Fearsome-Armor all the time.

- When crafting Shroud-Items for him look for HP-Raisers, as this is his Achilles´ heel. Also a Radiance II Rapier will be really nasty in his hands.

- When the level cap rises to 18 he will take 2 Rogue Levels and Weapon Specialisation as Feat.

- Last but not least: Enjoy playing a Non-Dwarfen Melee who can take some punching around!

How about Elf Rgr7/Ftr4/Wiz5..........and @ lvl 20 Rgr11/Ftr4/Wiz5.

Dragon marks
Tempest
3 Ftr combat feats
10 min shield spell w/extend
7th lvl jump and resists
1 min haste and some other great Wiz buffs.

Just a thought.

The point of the build was to have access to Displacement without needing to take arcane classes, and so have more room for DPS and trap-skills.
