So I'm wondering what there is to do in this game?
Is it all just these static dungeons?

Any tips for beginners...?
What are these odd collect items and spell components?

There are explorer areas also. But there is no open instance

Lots of tips for beginniers, Don't accept blind invites, don't trade items unless you get a second opinion, mistakes are ok, let the party know you are new to the game and enjoy thegame.


componemts are for spell casting. If you are caster of some sort, you may have to use components to cast the spell. Arcance casters like sorcerers and wizards use the ones with abottle on it. Candle ones are clerics, rangers, I dunno what rangers look like, bards are skull pictures, pallys are bowl like pictures.

Collectible can be traded for items by people all over the city. Certain people want certain things. hover your cursor over the pbject and it will tell you who wants it and how many.

The meat of the game is the instanced quests. If you like those, you'll probably enjoy the game. If not....well, you could give it a little time, they might grow on you. Other than those, there are outdoor explorer areas (also instanced, but don't need to be completed in a single visit), PvP pits (free-for-all, in taverns like the Wayward Lobster), some low-level bounty quests ("collect 10 kobold hand-wraps", that sort of thing), and occasional live events.
