I started a Drow Pally with 1 lvl of Fighter about a year and a half ago. Finally started palying him again after all other toons capped and can't decide on monk build.

Anyway, I just reached 9th lvl and resetting my enhancemens it won' allow me to take pally toughness, even though I have the toughness feat. It does allow me to take Fighter Toughness 1.

My guess is that the toughness I have is associated with a fighter feat I was allowed. So, does anyone know how to switch it to a Pally toughness?

Use lots of shards and play musical chairs with my feats until I get toughness that works with a Pally feat?

Any help appriciated before I burn though a bunch of shards and gold.

Thanks.

If you dual class and both offer the same enhancement line you are better off taking it in the higher class.

So if you are a 9th level character (i.e. Fighter 3rd/paladin 6th) you would be better off taking the paladin enhancement for toughness as you can get it higher.

Basically, you can't stack similar class granted Enhancements, but you can stack similar class and racial Enhancements.

You can't take Fighter's Toughness 1 and Paladin's Toughness 1. You CAN take Fighter's Toughness 1 and Dwarven Toughness 1.

You can't take Rogue's Dex I and Ranger's Dex I. You CAN take Rogue's Dex I and Fighter's Strength I, and you CAN take Rogue's Dex I and Halfling Dex I.

So yeah, pick the Toughness line of the class that you have the most levels in so you can take it higher.

I didnt think Toughness was on the Fighter bonus feat list... If you dont have ftr toughness I enhancement and cant select paly toughness one(and have met the min AP spent and all that), something isnt working correctly. If you take the ftr enhancement first, it will "black out" the pally line. Wait three day re-respec the enhancements and start with pally toughness line.
