Minor, Lesser, and others I have yet to see. What do they do? Is there some way to find this out in-game? If not, why do the devs make us search all over to find out?

They replenish your Spell points to different degrees.

And cure feeblemind.

Any idea on the exact amount? Is it a regen over time, or one flat rate? Normally I would just experiment to find out, but based on auction house prices, these seem to be quite precious and I dont want to waste one (though, if auction house prices are any indicator, everything is precious).

Each level of the potion restores a different range of spell points.

They replace spell points, each one a different amount. I was fairly certain if you hover your pointer over them, they tell you, something like 'replenishes 30-80 spell points'. I could be wrong.

They use to, not anymore...

Yes they still do. You have to examine the Item, then Examine the spell that it casts on you by mousing over it.

Was this a new effect with MOD7? I don't remember it before then...or was I just clueless?

Was MOD 6 the market tent being gone?

Then it was out before that also.

Hmmm, not sure if I played when MOD 5 came out. If I did, what was it? Nevermind, this thread is about Mnemonic potions.

SAVE all your level 1 mnemonic potions for your characters. Yes, it does suck up an inventory slot, but a level 1 potion is much cheaper than a HEAL spelll from a cleric, if you have a cleric in your party. Level 3, 5, 7, and 9 either give to your spell point characters or sell at the auction house for more than what it says is list value.

You can try to sell for the ridiculous prices some people list, or just put down some price of around two times list value. Heck, at even 1000 GP I might buy a level 1 potion now and then.

I was selling those when I first started playing because I had no clue what they did.

If you are one of those players that chooses to not be a self healer and refuse to carry any cure potions of any sort(fear, disease, curse, light, moderate, serious) then you must die a lot.

POTIONS of WONDER

Do a random game ability. It might HEAL you, or it might DISINTEGRATE you. Sell all of your potions of wonder is my advice.

Agree on the Potions of Wonder, although they are absolutely hilarious to set off at low level near a shrine (particularly if you get the 22d6 Cometfall and it causes a party wipe). Don't drink them except near a rez shrine tho.

Mana pots generally sell for 3 times their listed value on the AH. Sadly, gone are the days where every Major Pot looted could be sold on the AH for 30k PP - now you'll get (at least on Khyber) 8-9k PP, of which the AH takes 30%.

As for how much they restore - ~10 SP for minor, ~25 for lesser, ~50 for normal, ~150 for greater and ~300 for major if memory serves me well - but the high level ones have a LOT of variance (I think they are 105-600 SP restored, or something like that)

Indeed, Elixirs of Mnemonic Enhancement do dispel feeblemind.

Minor Mnemonic Enhancer restores 10-35 sp's.
Lesser Mnemonic Enhancer restores 15-70 sp's.
Mnemonic Enhancer restores 25-145 sp's.
Greater Mnemonic Enhancer restores 55-300 sp's.

Those are the four types I have on-hand to verify actual sp amounts.

Have fun!

A guildy and myself always drink Potions of Wonder just before a big fight for Sh**s and giggles. We've been fortunate, most of the time its barkskin or mneumonic. Though I've gotten Flesh to Stone once while going to fight the beholders in VoN 3. Was lucky enough to have the first beholder dispell me so that I was able to move before he disentigrated me...

One more thing with these.

Someone has reported to me that when they are extremely close to being out of mana, they frequently get the same effect from these as a Mneumonic Enhancement potion.

Have never tested this myself, but may be worth a look into whether this is indeed true.

They will ruin your character forever. Send them all to Mothyr.
