Are Red named bosses effected by the Greensteel Tier III effects - Enervation, or Radiance?

If so, how effective do you think these effects would be on end boss type fights?

Red names are impervious to such effects.......So no, wouldn't help

Thats what I assumed too, but the planner description labels these effects as have "no save to the enervation effect". And I do know some weapon proc effects to work such as crippling on red named. Has anyone been able to actually test this to confirm if Enervation or Radiance from a greensteel item work on reds?

enervation, no.

radiance blind no.

radiance light (4d6 light damage) should damage them.

Actually, "Crippling" shows up on the Red/Purple names "Z" Screen, but they dont actually suffer from the slowed efect at all.

Pretty much only Direct Damage and temp debuffs effect Red/Purple names.

Yep, a guildie and I each have these weapons. No blindness, but you still get the 4d6 light damage on a crit.

Half correct.

A red named monster will more often than not be subject to the crippling effects and have their movement speed reduced.

A purple named monster will be hit by the crippling effect, but they are set to never have their movement speed lower than 100% the base speed they are supposed to have, so they can't go any slower.

Just remember that some monster types are immune to movement speed effects, like rats. A red-named rat would be immune to crippling.
