View Full Version : Problem With Digital Download

First, a little backgground.

I started playing about a month ago. I played the free trial, and then used the digital download to obtain a full version; everything worked perfectly.

As I had hoped, my wife became interested; and her 10-day trial is about to expire. We tried the digital download, and it fails with an error message similar to "this item is not available for the country code listed".

We live in the US, we are attempting to get the US version, my wife and I live in the same location, I have attempted using the exact same information and CC that I used (when it worked) as well as using her information and CC; and always get this error. It appears there is an issue with the validation process.

An internet search shows that digital river has had this problem before; but also indicates that they had to fix the problem - IE there is nothing I can do on my end.

Search of this forum shows a Turbine reply similar to "If the download is not supported in your area, you will have to purchase a retail box"; which is a fine answer, except that the DL is supported in my area - I DL'd the product within the last 3 weeks.

My wife likes the game; but a couple of frustrations with her character advancement (that can't be fixed without a re-roll) have made the process less enjoyable than it could have been. Coupled with this new "issue" she is seriously contemplating returning to our previous MMORPG. I would prefer that not happen; but the boxed set isn't available locally.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize for any frustration in purchasing the game. If you'd like to give Account Management a call, they can definitely resolve this for you by selling you a key directly over the phone.
