What did I do wrong?

I made a greensteel Khopesh that I used the planner for and expected it to be:

- +5 greensteel Khopesh
- Holy
- Acid Burst
- +4 AC insight
- Transmuting

I got everything except the transmuting which honestly was the most important part.

This is what I did:


Tier 1

Arrow --> scale --> shrapnel --> stone = Material ess
Arrow --> bone --> scale --> stone = Positive
Bone --> Chain --> scale --> shrapnel = Dominion

results in Holy

Tier 2

Arrow --> bone --> -->chain --> shrapnel = earth
Bone --> chain --> scale --> shrapnel = dominion
Arrow --> scales --> shrapnel --> stone = material

results in Acid Burst


tier 3

arrow --> bone --> scale --> stone = positive
bone --> chain --> scale --> stone = opposition
arrow --> chain --> scale --> stone = ethereal

results in +4 AC

Thats: Positive + Earth + Positive

and according to the chart earth is dominant and should result in Transmuting.


So what did I screw up on? Im thinking I should have done positive + earth + earth.


Is there a way to fix it?

I think you forgot to do the dual shard upgrade.

Edit: YOu can get the +4 Insight bonus and transmuting.

To get the tier 3 bonus for combined imbued shard, you have to use the same type of imbued shards for tier 3 as you did for 1 and 2. I.e. Earth, Positive, and then Earth+Positive. And I think you even have to have the same essences, etc. So you can't mix and match very much if you are after the bonus. I am not aware of a combination that would give the AC bonus and still end up transmuting.


Can you fix it? Not currently. However, a lot of people are complaining about the lack of an "undo" for crafting. So you might be able to in the future.

EDIT: P.S. I just saw that you didn't do a "combined imbued shard" for your tier 3... It actually takes 24 large ingredients to get what you were after. So don't dispair too much... You actually got lucky compared to many people... Many others have screwed up in a way that cost them 24 larges and they ended up with exactly the weapon that you got for 12.

You should have gone..

Tier 1 - Positive/Dominion/Material
Tier 2 - Earth/Dominion/Material
Tier 3 - Positive/Opposition/Etheral + Earth/Opposition/Etheral

You have to make two supreme shards at tier 3 then combine the two shards into 1, then place it on the item/weapon.

thnx all, dual supreme shards............ no, I didnt do that.

OK no worries.......... its still a pretty good weapon but not the devil killer, all purpose mob mincer I originally wanted.


Learned something new for the next try.


as a side note ........... my other fighters air/air/air goggles worked out just fine............. even if it doesnt proc all that often.




2 teir 3 items is pretty good for me conscidering I really dont get all the uber stuff in the game.......... like 1750 and loads of raid loot. Im in no rush to put together a 3rd item.... it will happen when it happens.
