View Full Version : Sunken Sewer - unpassable?

The beginning of the Sunken Sewer quest is driving me nuts. In two places, there are pipes spewing poison across the hallway. Above the first set are two control boxes which my rogue, with maxed Spot, Search, and Disable, can easily spot and disable. However, they keep spewing poison. I then try to time the spurts to pass through but always get poisoned by each.

Of course, I have a high save and always MAKE my save but still end up poisoned. What is up with this trap? If it's intended to be unpassable, why put in control boxes and intermittent spurts?

There are no control boxes for the poison traps. If you don't want to deal with those pipes, you can always go the other way when you enter. Still some poison, but it's easier to deal with.

Myself, I usually run WW until I get a poison resist item, as they're wonderful things to have at pretty much any level.

*edit* You can also invest about 800 gold in a neutralize poison potion - gives you 7 minutes of poison immunity to get through the sections with the poison pipes.

Ah, thanks. Good advice on avoiding the traps. I wanted to ensure I'm not missing a way to disable them.
