But at least a bunch of people ran abbot for 3 days.
Why did they run the abbot? No totems in there.

Not the strangest place people have gone looking for them though. There was a rumor going around that the hound in xorian cipher was dropping them.

Now that isn't a fair judgement at all.We were in there with a strong group that took over two hours to take down the pit on normal.Complete bs we felt like we were on elite.Never seen him that strong even on Elite.Tried 4 rez cakes that wouldn't take complete bs but we finally beat his azz thanks to a couple bows and 83 mana pots by a couple great clerics. For a part that takes 20 mins took us over an hour when he was at 50 percent the message came from the other server and then our tokens open it up for us so who really wins?

and 100 reavers after it had been completed, and monks, and whatever the hell else dude.

Thelanis beat us fair and square. No need to assign blame on people who went for a different world first...after running the hell out of some coin raids.

I do not want to sound like sour grapes nor take away from Thelanis' awesome achievements... However I do think that Ghallanda, as DDO's "International Server" was hardest hit by the hotfix. Many of us, myself included, were unable to contribute since the hotfix had us locked out of the game from 6:00 pm until almost 11:00 pm. Some of Ghallanda's best raiders, like DDO Korea and our many Aussies, were locked out by the hotfix.
I tip my hat to Thelanis and bow before their might, but I do believe the hotfix hurt Ghallanda especially hard.

I shouldnt say anything, I cant see what people were doing at other times when I am not on.

it was a difference of like 5 min apparently however - so 1 more raid and thats how close it was.

But like Hillary Clinton - we can still claim victory even though we lost! Not sure how, but hey perseverance!

New raid is opened, so everyone wins. (Except all the raid bosses who died in the flagging process)

he was stronger? It seemed since the update he has less hp, and doesnt hit as often or as hard. Clerics can actually heal and not make it a contest of "how much money do you have for supplies" since 100,000 hp was pretty over the top (or whatever he had). I was noticing misses of like 25% maybe with around a 60 ac, so buffed up might actually get some real ac going on.

OTOH, I was up until 1am US CST and we still hadn't unlocked it; meaning the unlock happened at a time when many of our US players were already asleep (since they had work to get to in the morning), probably leaving more international players going on Ghallandra, as that would have been inside a more prime play time for them. Now understand I'm no expert in time conversion, but if it's 1 in the morning in the central US, wouldn't that make it late afternoon/early evening in the Pacific Rim/Australia?

Anyway, glad we gave each other a good fight...woulda been boring to have had one server run away with it.

Good job Thalanis!!

Ghallanda could have done it if our excavator hadn't been sabotajed, and the dwarves hadn't been unionized in the middle of the night. Now, I'm sure we would've only won by a nose, but when it comes to dwarves, that's saying alot :)

Again, sincerely, congrats.

Hey Ghallanda, thanks for the amazing competition. To have it come down to minutes says a lot about both servers, and the game community in general.

I raided for 7 hours straight last night with my guildies and am only 2 hours sleep, so I'm not going to say much more, because I'm falling asleep at work.

That hotfix was a pain, but to hear how it affected you guys really sucked. I know many of Thelanis took some time off work on thursday (including me) so we lost some time too, but might not have been as adversely affected as ya all.

Anyways... didn't matter which one of us won (especially because it was so **** close), I'm just glad we did it before the weekend so now we have good new stuff to make the weekend more fun.

/salute to Ghallanda.

You guys were blowing smoke this week on Argo? Explains a lot. :)

I don't want to run those 5 raids for a while. Maybe time to checkout that Abbot guy... after I get some Hound armor.... and kung fu.

No when me and sweets and 10 other awsome raiders were in there, it almost felt like it was rigged im not pointing fingers at anyone but sweets is right...How is it we had 5 djinn cakes for shrines used and only one of the 5 came up???? How is it that i was in there the day before and we took him down in under 10 minutes and we had an awsome group and it took us almost an hour and half? since when does a cleric need to drink 85 neumonic pots to beat him on normal???
