I'm just taking this title before Ghoste does so that I can steal all the credit when he (and maybe MrCow) post in here. :)
Thanks Ghoste (and Cow if you post).

EDIT: Now the serious stuff. This will be slow because I'm doing this at work right now (friday, may 23)
First off, why a WF monk?
WF monks are a great combination because of the natural immunities of a WF and the immunities you gain from the monk class.
Benefits of being a WF:
+2 AC over fleshies
Immune to sleep, paralysis, energy drain, poison, disease, and nausea.
Able to spend long periods underwater (no need for a UA item as of yet).
Immune to most spells that target humanoids (but vulnerable to spells or abilities that target constructs).
Inherent 25% fortification.
Able to be healed by two different methods - arcane or divine spells.
Able to wear docents (which can be switched as quickly as robes).
Biggest disadvantages:
50% healing from all divine healing spells.
Unable to wear armor.
Str or Dex?
I think that a big debate will be over which is better. I have two finesse rangers so I'm used to the high dex route but Str definitely has it's benefits as well.

No I flat out TOOK the WF Monk thread from them.
I'm not worried about Ghoste or MrCow (especially since my spot and listen are +50).
I am actually going to get around to discussing WF Monks because they are the most powerful monks (okay maybe second).
As for Asp and Rams, you two go back to your cleric and halfling threads, you **** WF haters.

Not to mention the healing finishing move which so far combos well with the elemental strikes.

One question: Can you use any of the body feats as a monk and still use monk special abilities or get wisdom bonus to AC? I'm guessing no.. but wondering if this has explicitly been answered by a dev or tested by anyone.

You lose your Monk bonuses if you take a body feat... I tried it out just for giggles.

The key is NOT to take a body feat. You get a base +2 with no body.
So with a decent Dex and Wisdom, you combine for what equates to a good AC but the goal would be to get hit, to encite your Docent of Defiance. Your attacks at 16 will generate enough Ki to be happy, and healing will be great with the enhancements.
28 Str 16 (10 pts) (6 item, 4 Level, 2 Favor Tome)
22 Dex 16 (10 pts) (6 item)
24 Con 16 (6 pts) (6 item, 2 enh)
Int 8
22 Wis 12 (6 pts) (6 Item, 3 enh, 1 tome)
Cha 6

You get it out of the Invaders! quest at higher levels by turning in 25 Invaders tokens.

No. It drops out of the end chest in The Cursed Crypt. The invaders docent is the docent of defense.

So far on Risa I am findin 1 level of Wizard very benificial. Self healing is great at low levels in all the all-Monk parties :) & really the extended Shield spell & Expeditious Retreat are helpfull also.
Plus Warforged look cool as hell as Monks:D

Warforged Monk: Only Thing Lacking Over Any Other Race Is -2 Wisdom = Less Ac/Dc(No Pun Intended) Potential.
That Said, Being Immune To Almost Everything + Minimum 23SR + Crazy Monk Saves = Uber
Warforged FTW.
Nuff Said.

One problem is the overlapping powers that monks and WF have. One benefit is healer's friend + improved recovery = no longer a pain in the cleric's ass (which will be important now that clerics will be in high demand).

Just pointing something out here. The +2 AC from composite plating is considered an armor bonus so +3 or better armor bracers negates its usefulness.

You can get a +6 docent from the abbot or a +5 docent from anywhere, meaning you'd need a +7-8 armor bracer to be equivalent to the ac from composite + you can also wear chaosguardes as a wf for a higher ac.

If you're going pure(or almst pure) monk,
WFs have -2 WIS penalty so for most cases it's only +1 AC.
Poison/Disease immunity is for every monk, not just WFs.
Just pointing out things,
I'm gona roll a WF STR-based Monk myself too ;)
It just looks cool to see those big guys doing martial arts hehe.
