how difficult its going to be to form a group when MOD 7 drops, everyone is gonna roll up a monk and its gonna be funny to see all the LFM's with monks as group leaders cause nobody is gonna log on with other toons lol. I guess its just gonna be all Monk groups, I know ill be one of those guys lol

As much as I would hope that this would not happen.......sadly, I think you are right.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people will sit around waiting for the perfect party mix instead of playing the game with whatever they can get right away.

Last weekend my friend help me get my Wiz flagged for the Shroud.
We two manned Rainbow and Coalescent(sp) Chamber..his Rgr16, and my Wiz16.
Granted it wasn't easy.....and granted his Ranger is very uber and he has soloed both quests before.....
But to me it really proves a huge point.

That there is no reason ever to sit around and wait for a cleric, or whatever..........just take as many non-whiners who are willing to leave there babysitters behind, and go out for some real adventure.

I for one hope to see lots of all Monk parties.....and have no fear of them at all.

It's going to be really easy for those of us that realize you don't "need" the perfect party.....

6 toons = perfect party. Especially at low levels. Some people will wait for clerics and rogues and casters and tanks to accompany their monk, while everyone else quickly moves through all the harbor quests and into the MP.

I'll likely be building a bard.... just cause kung fu action requires poorly written music.

Monks are all well and good and I'm sure I will roll one eventually. I'm excited to play my newbie Ranger TBH. I will group with them, fight with them and laugh when people find out Turbine released a seriously flawed class. Mark my words, you know they will be severely limited. Turbine's track record would indicate nothing if not that.

Just my 2 cents, did you need change back?

LMAO I love it. If I actually used a sig I would ask if I could quote that :D.

Exactly what's happening now on Risia.

The group I was in had a pally for about 2 minutes. I think he dropped party though to go roll up a monk.

I am going to take the time to level up my bard durring the monk invasion. Maybe my wizard. I will wait to rolly my monk after people are a bit higher level and the novelty has worn off, which will take a while but I am patient...somewhat hehe.

Actually, I'm sure there will still be higher lvl groups.....trying to unlock the new raids etc.

I will do a mix of both. But first thing on my mind will be to check out Monks a little. If the new raids were instantly open, I might be more excited about them.

I probably will do a favor run through the new 3 Barrel Cove quests though.

if groups of 6 plat-twinked monks played by vets are not crushing quests on their own through level to 5 to 8, i will be amazed

monks are very self-sufficient

you will likely see monks in the vale & shroud within 1 week of release

once, i understand the class & think up a cool name, i will likely just be playing my monk for several weeks

later

First group I start when Mod 7 goes live will accept the trend and embrace it. Monks only!

I guess I'm gonna be the oddball out.

I'm taking advantage of this.

I've got a few lowbies, non-Monk mind you, that I'd like to level.

With this new wave of lowbie characters, and the abundance of groups that are probably going to form to get to cap as soon as possible. . . I figure. . .

"Hm. . . I could maybe get my Cleric to 3. . . My Ranger, or maybe my Bard, could get to around 8. . ."

I'm seeing a couple levels in the future. :3

(I might, might play a Monk. I'll have to wait for it to go live (Don't like ruining surprises), but from what all I know of them, they remind me of WoW Warriors. . . Build up Rage / Chi (Or is it Ki?), perform special moves, different stances. . . Not to start an argument / discussion, but just my opinion on what little I've seen.)

I will be waiting to roll a monk until later. It's all about raiding now, its about preparing Khyber to be the first. :P

I'll be shocked if it takes a week. I remember seeing a level 9 drow the day after the drow were released.

Most people can solo or duo the harbor with twinked characters so I can't imagine that it'll be hard to do with 6 characters even if they are all monks.

I will be rolling a monk, in about a month after release, maybe.

I expect my lowbie cleric will be very popular. :)

I am almost definitely not going to roll a monk until AFTER all the bugs that were allegedly unintentional and making them way too powerful are "fixed" and in the usual killing a fly with a JDAM method nerf the class all to Shavarath. THEN I will make a monk and will be able to avoid all the unpleasant let downs and disappointments caused by having neat fun taken away by the changes.

Really, it's the only way to prevent heartache. It's like marriage. It starts great, then all the fun goes away, she nerfs all your powers, and takes away your best toys. If you could skip ahead to the post-change step where the hair is in curlers and a shower cap and there's a troll green face mask on and she's shrieking at you, you would, admit it.

If you could go right past the "you have a bright future at this company" lie right to the Dilbertian life of quiet desperation, you would, we all would.

Follow your instincts and wait to roll a monk. Let someone else be the early adopter. The early bird may get the worm, but who wants worms?
