I was just wondering when people think the market in DDO will begin to become a little more reasonable. Now that AoC is out, with quite a number of people leaving to play it, won’t there be less demand for a $1,000,000 +1 Con tome? Or will it become even more ridiculous as all of the Plat that the farmers have been gathering begins to lose value and they dump it back into the game to try and glean as much real money as they can before it’s too late? I’ve already noticed that the spammers are dropping their rates on a daily basis.

As a side note, I was laughed at a couple weeks ago for saying I didn't want to spend more then 10K plat for some +1 tomes, but then found a half dozen on the AC for less.

If tomes are going for less than 10k then how can they be 1,000,000?

Isn't there more then one +1 Con tome? I usually see quite a few on the AH. I just don't understand why some people are still looking for insane amounts of gold for them.

Because thats what people pay.

I Dont doubt that you can get a great deal occationally onthe AH.. a Guildy Bought a W/P Rapier for 300k not too long ago.... I bought a Sirrocco the other day for 17k.....

SOmetimes people make mistakes when they put the Auction up, SOmetimes they dont really know the value.

Bottom line is 100k Plat isnt really that much money in the game nowadays.

Some people will always put stuff on the auction house for prices that won't sell, or might occasionaly sell if they get really, really lucky.

Mostly it is because they don't look at the auction house much or they put in a plat price thinking it is a gold price and they get an X10 price as a result. (I've no idea why prices are listed in gold...)

Every game I've played is like that, there are folks that just don't bother looking for what others are selling for when they put stuff up for auction.
