Purchasing a second account.

Recently I bought a second computer. I installed ddo on the second computer from my original dvd and now I would like to purchase a second account for my family. The turbine account site doesn't give me a billing option to purchase a second account. Since I don't need to download the client and simply want to want to purchase a second cd key what is the simplest way? Since all my information is saved on the account sight an "open an additional account" button would be most helpful, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also can I take advatage of the refer a friend promotion when buying another account for my family?

In order to purchase a second account, you will need to purchase the game again. You can do so digitally at our online store (http://store.turbine.com). While it is true you can skip the downloading of the actual product you will need the product key (digital rights key) in order to create the new account. In order to take advantage of the refer a friend you must send a referral to an email address in your family, use that referral key to create a new account (trial account) and then upgrade that account with the retail product key you purchase.

Ya Know, You'd Proboly Make a ton of extra Money if you made this easier and gave us some sort of benefit for startign a second account.

I'd buy a second account in a heartbeat if I knew I wouldnt have to do the 1750favor again and could pay $9.99 a Month....

Sure, there would be a little legwork on TUrbines part in order to manually set the Character slot/Build point flags, But man it would go a LONG way to to quell the Complaints about limited character slots.

I will third that. If i didnt have to buy the game again and could pay 10 bucks a month for a second account and have my 1750 favor transfer to the 2nd account i would do it RIGHT NOW. I know tons of other who would too. I would not mind paying 25 bucks a month for a game i love to play and have PLENTY of character slots.

Absolutely agree, tho some have already paid for additional download when getting their second, third, fourth etc. account, but if i could could upgrade to 1750 favor i wouldnt mind at all.

Not to hijack, but since we talking about being willing to pay additional montly fees: i would pay a bazillion dollars a month (price subject to wifes final approval) if i could swap to any account and any server on that account from character menu screen or from within the game itself.

Right now i have to exit game, reload, pick account, pick server load in. No it doesnt take long, but i have two accounts and play on all five servers, naturally i visit those accounts/servers every day. thats ten swaps per day, (and of course up to nine characters per account/server) sometimes more than once for whatever reason. If i were to purchase another account, add five more in time. Being able to pick account, pick server, pick toon from within the game itself would be a tremendous time saver and again, i would pay out the nose to do this, every month if need be.

Naturally this would have to be a premium service of some kind. Not everyone would want to/ be abl to afford to do this kind of thing, and its likely its not possible, but if you ever want to make some serious money per month from me, this would be the way to do it :)
