guys cut them some slack... they are working extremely hard on developing new bugs for the next mod. also its not easy to keep comming up with new ways to annoy your paying subscribers. besides all that, the tech department has run out of coffee to pour into servers so they are at code red, if they dont get more cofee soon there is a possibility the game could operate lag free!!!!!:eek:
who does the community think it is anyway..... wanting information on a long awaited mod. time the forum community setteled down and gave ddo the time it needs to come up with a valid reason why they are going to delay mod 7 until middle december.

I'd like to think it means they are going to release Mod 7 this week and therefore won't put out release notes until the down time but I find that to be highly unlikely.

So please take just a moment to tell us whether I need to keep refreshing my browser at work or not.

I didn't really get that from Tolero's comment. Seemed to me more like "Hey, I know you guys are interested in Mod 7 on Risia. I'll go see if I can find anything out."

I expect it means they are in a final QA limbo trying to see if they can release it to Risia.. and have decided to say nothing until they know either when they will be ready. OR they have monks all ready to go and are in a policy debate about what to release for preview. Seems like these silences happen when Q is waiting for management decisions.

3rd option - they are all really enjoying a certain open beta and are too busy to post?

either way nothing official since 04/30 on anything about mod 7. As far as mod 7 goes I would rate it just above mod 5 in info received, with mod 4 being the gold standard and mod 5 being the bottom of the barrel. This has nothing to do with quality of said mod, but simply about the info being given. Realistically we are hopefully no more than 2 weeks away from live and we have no info on anything except what is in the WDA and the following


1. new 3 barrel cove area with 3 new quests
2. Underground lvl 16 adventure area with 2 raids
3.next step in crafting
4. monks are coming an they have something called ki which increases the more you fight
5. 2 new monsters horned devils and sahuiguin.

We saw one or 2 short demos of monks with a small amount of combat

Anything else I missed?

By this time with mod 6 we knew details ofthe raids so screenshots, and it was being made available on Risia for final preview(quests but no raid). It had been available 1 month before for death penalty testing with outdoor area but no quests. Every major MMORPG website had a preview and some playtesting posted. Mod 7 not one article since the end of April.

I'm not sure what the secrecy is all about either. I don't NEED to know when the release day is. (I'd like to though :) )

I'm just left wondering as well as to what we have in store for us. Where are the little nuggets of what is to come? Why is it so important to keep some little tidbits of general information so quiet? Why not at least let us know how many (or few) new quests we will be getting? Why not at least add some Monk info to the compendium? It's 2-3 weeks before release (he said hopefully), and I would like something new to be really excited about :)

C'mon Dev's, throw the community a bone! PLEASE??? :D:D:D
