Espresso gave a low grunt, more of a growl.
/angry
He stood, looking upon the carnage, the slain bodies of his fellows, their soulstones glistening in the pale, flickering light of the torches illuminating the grisly scene of death, and shook his head.
/shakehead
He knelt down and was silent for some time, only the little tick tick tick noise of his head oscillating back and forth broke the silence.
/kneel
Finally he spoke.
/tell This is a sad day. A day when we have discovered our limitations. A day when we have discovered our weaknesses. A day when we have discovered we are not of as great of prowess as we once thought.
/tell Today, we find our swords damaged beyond repair, or armor cloven in twain, our bodies shattered.
/tell Today, we are defeated. We have no strength left. The gods do not smile upon us. Or cup is empty. Our blood spilt. Or lives ended.
/tell This day, we should have considered our choices more carefully. We should have made wiser decisions. Should have planned better.
/tell Today, we die. Not as heroes. Not as remembered. Not as anyone of us would have wanted to.
/tell Today, we die in vain. Yes vain. Vain we were to take on a challenge so unsurmountable that we lie here broken and defeated on earth christened with our blood.
/tell Today, we thought ourselves too much among the elite, only to find we were barely hard enough to be normal.
/tell if only today had been the day for wise choices, rather than foolhardy ones.
/tell For today we are dead.
Espresso examines the nearest soulstone.
/tell Chose wisely, whether you can stand up to the calling of elite, hard or normal, as the death you prevent might be your own!
